@Ross_Greer @ZackPolanski Oh please Polanski has come out of it looking like the guy he really is. A stirrer of hate and an opportunist capitalising on the anxiety he stirs. He is a despicable human being.

In the last week @ZackPolanski has been 'scrutinised' by fair & impartial journalists including an ex-Labour minister married to a current Labour minister (ITV) and a guy whose Best Man was Peter Mandelson (Sky). It really is a cosy wee club & they loathe being called out for it

Joseph Hughes is displaying the baby on social media now. As everyone can see, the boy born through his sister as surrogate is still in critical condition. Surrogacy puts the life of women and babys at high risk. Pregnancies have 3-times higher risks of complications and even death. The sister suffered stroke symptoms (probably preeclampsia) few days before birth. The baby had a cardiac arrest during birth and they had to do an emergency C-section. Surrogacy is a human rights violation and should be banned internationally. #StopSurrogacy

Please be precise: He mocked his sister – who is the surrogate – while she was going through the pain of labor. She is standing right beside him, while he is lying on the bed.

@SL19932001 @PoundShopBot @gracebrod1e As making a fool of himself and Scotland, grovelling in the kings dust for crumb of praise. We are back where we started but that’s everyone’s experience of SNP.

I've been all over Glasgow today. So many people here are excited to vote for a fairer, greener & kinder Scotland 💚✊🗳️ In Glasgow and plenty of other regions the last seat may well come down to the @scottishgreens or Reform, so make sure to vote Green on your peach ballot!

New Oxford University study on BBC reporting of 'transgender' people: Since 2000 in the UK • 11 were murdered (mostly killed by their male partners). This generated 137 news stories • 20 committed murder. This generated just 58 news stories, of which only 23 mentioned trans

Parliament is highly likely to debate a petition calling for surrogate mothers to lose parental rights at birth. This would be catastrophic for mothers & their babies. Please email your MP to object.

The case against surrogacy.
Jo Marshall@JoFMarshall

Four reasons to retain this fundamental protection rooted in biology, ethics, and child welfare. Removing it would fundamentally alter the status of motherhood and risk commodifying both women and children. Time to ask our MPs to support mothers. 1. Biological and gestational reality: Pregnancy and birth create a profound physical and psychological bond. Every mother undergoes immense physical risks, hormonal changes, and potential long-term health impacts. Automatically stripping her of legal motherhood at birth denies this reality and treats her body as a mere incubator. In the UK the law correctly prioritises her as the default legal parent. 2. Consent and regret protection: Surrogacy arrangements, even altruistic ones, can involve coercion, changing circumstances, or unforeseen emotional realities. A surrogate might initially agree but later bond with the child or face pressure. The current system gives her a window of agency: she must actively consent to the transfer. Pre-birth or automatic transfer removes this, pressuring vulnerable women (often from lower socioeconomic backgrounds) into irreversible decisions. 3. Child’s rights and identity: Children have a right to clarity about their true mother. Automatic transfer risks erasing the surrogate’s legal role entirely, potentially complicating issues of medical history, identity, or future disputes. It also creates a legal fiction at birth that could undermine the child’s stability if disputes arise. The parental order process ensures judicial oversight precisely to protect the child, not convenience for adults. 4. Preventing commodification: The petition essentially pushes toward a commercial model where women are reduced to “service providers” and children to “products” ordered by intended parents. The law has protected surrogate mothers for a long time for good reason- it is time to educate our MPs about this.

She's absolutely spot on. Those who ID as 'trans' think the world revolves around them & their super-duper, special identity.
