@lilyraynyc I have found the SemRush “organic traffic” scores to be inaccurate and only directionally accurate (at best). I’ve see them update their algos in our industry and that causes massive swings in their charts while traffic is unchanged.

How long until the average user realizes the first 4 (organic-looking) results are not what they wanted

> search for "Midjourney" > actual Midjourney site > is the 7th link in results Google Search is so BROKEN
English

@AndyBeard @lilyraynyc Someone should create a chrome extension that clicks that by default
English

@lilyraynyc That hide sponsored results button is so useful
It would be a shame if it became activated by default

AI content is here to stay but for affiliate marketers, it’s not as simple as hitting “generate.”
Let’s break it down and how to stay on the right side of the algorithm.

@ViperChill It’s a shame. Community was the biggest thing for Moz.

"We took a revenue hit in our Moz SEO business, partially due to the MozCon conference moving out of the quarter, but also due to a softening a new customer acquisition"
Ziff Davis are usually pretty quiet about their Moz acquisition so this was super interesting to me.
I say this as someone who is a HUGE fan of people involved in Moz (Cyrus, Pete, Tom, etc) and knowing they have some really tough competition (e.g. Ahrefs) but I also think they lost a lot of their identity in recent years.
STAT and Local are what comes to mind when I think of them, which is a big change from where they were when Moz Pro first launched.
I still think it's possible to stand out in this space and be known for something. Sistrix have done it. Surfer have done it.
I have a ton of ideas of what I would change but this is probably not the format to share them and I'm not egotistical enough to think they want to hear them. Maybe a Detailed article one day.
Competition is good in this space, so I hope they can figure out what will get people talking about, using and signing up for Moz again.

PROUD HUSBAND POST!
Yesterday @VickySimmance pulled off a blinder of an event.
Completely organised by her, from start to finish. Ran per the plan with over 100 people being entertained, fed and watered.
Epic job done.
Big thanks to @thetafferboy, Becky Simms, @Rach_Marshallx, @HathawayP and @CrystalontheWeb for joining us on stage.

As someone who has run dozens of business websites on WordPress over the past 15 years, never once had it occurred to me the risk that @photomatt could disrupt that experience—on a whim—because of a personal beef with my hosting company ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
English

@pootlepress What about affiliates, e-commerce (shops), bloggers, influencers
I know it’s semantics but people see themselves in those categories and each have different needs.
I work with a range and their needs from WP differ widely.

Heads up. @Zendesk is a scam organization, and you should avoid them at all costs.
I need to cancel our plan, but there is no way I can do it myself. They force you to contact support.
That feels illegal... but ok, I used their chat on April 30th which was a total nightmare to navigate and eventually got to the point where they were going to get a human on the case to help me cancel.
Seven days later, on April 6th, I received a response from an agent that did NOT grant my request to cancel but instead says, "To better assist you with this, may I kindly ask for your reasons behind this decision?"
Ugh. I explain that we have switched to another product.
No reply.
May 30th, my recurring billing kicks in again for $358.
I reply and complain that I was trying to cancel but they didn't get back to me.
NO ONE REPLIES TO ME.
My renewal is coming up again, and I still haven't been able to get off this software.
I should be compensated for so much time wasting.
Can this be brought to the FTC?
Anyway, don't use Zendesk.
