@rob_mullaney @WheatLife You don't know what you're talking about. Growing season is way shorter in Alberta than it would be in Wyoming or Nebraska. Everyone grows round-up-ready wheat here. Growing season shorter when planting starts early to mid-May when snow is gone. Frost comes earlier too (end-Aug)

I know zero people who spray glyphosate to ripen wheat.
Perhaps the congressman might benefit from a conversation with an actual farmer.

Rep. Thomas Massie says glyphosate is sprayed on ripe wheat to dry it before harvest. He says the crop is one step away from bread when it is hit with poison. Europe banned it, but Washington still allows it.

@WheatLife The further north you go, the more prevalent it is as the growing season gets shorter. I'm willing to bet most, if not all, wheat crops in Canada are round-up-ready, and get sprayed right before harvest. Likely northern states in USA are the same.

Biofuels as an institution are dead.
People have moved on. Ethanol is rightly seen as one more grift to a protected class(farmers), regardless of the "science."

This E15 thing is about so much more than E15. Farmers are rightly frustrated. We want market based solutions but the government's outdated rules prevent us from selling the cheaper fuel to the consumers who would opt to buy it.

This bridge payment will do very little to actually help farmers. There’s no change, only cash that will likely be less than 50/acre, if they’re lucky, and will go straight to input providers.
Such great opportunity to do something different and they do exact same thing….

Well, Fam, just found out our health insurance is jumping from $1700 to over $3000 a month. And we still have to wait till Nov 1 to see more options—when the site will probably crash because everyone will be freaking out at the same time.
People are about to get priced out of healthcare in the richest country on Earth. And yes, I blame Republicans 100% for this mess.
