The @WarOnTheRocks team is working from home following several days of targeted and coordinated harassment on and off X. We are strengthening on-site security with building management and law enforcement after many statements threatening violence, the posting of home and office addresses (most of which @Safety has not removed), and more. We are particularly grateful to @DCPoliceDept and other agencies. To those depraved individuals responsible as well as those amplifying it: You have frightened members of our team, including young people trying to make a difference. Maybe that makes you feel big, but accountability is coming. The law is on our side.

@Ben6991906 @bobWaltzer @prestonstew_ @SilverFox235 I agree it was a targeted attack likely by the US on the military base that by mistake included the school in a building that used to be part of the military base. There is no evidence the military base has been inactive for 15 years. School was part of the base 10 years ago.

Footage shows what are likely sub-munitions from an Iranian cluster bomb warhead crashing down in Israel this evening, amid a ballistic missile attack. The IDF has previously confirmed that Iran has launched ballistic missiles carrying cluster bomb warheads at Israel. The warhead of such missiles opens up while descending and spreads around 20 smaller munitions each with around 2.5 kilograms of explosives, in a radius of around 8km.

There's no reason for Iran to attack NATO nation Turkey—but a drone did. Iran denies sending it. There's no reason for Iran to attack a UK base in Cyprus—but a drone did. Iran denies sending it. Now Azerbaijan has been attacked. Iran denies involvement. I think this is Israel.

@Keith_GadgetUK @bobWaltzer @TheFl0orIsLaVa Spain sent 130 troops. This is why it matters if NATO countries are serious countries. Spain is very clearly not a serious country. They are refusing to raise defense spending, barely aiding Ukraine, and not allowing us to use their bases. We should kick them out.

@bobWaltzer @TheFl0orIsLaVa It all depends on what is happening to the country being attacked. What we can’t have is NATO members showing favourites, as that is not acceptable under the NATO agreement. Spain was very proactive and publicly supported. 27,000 personnel over 2002-2014 isn’t very few troops.

RE: JAGs, Lawyers and Risk The cause du jour of Mil X the last couple of days has been military JAGs, and their overreach into operational and policy decisions. The retort always is “We JAGs just advise, the commander ultimately makes the decision.” OK, got it. Let’s take a step back a bit. When lawyers are advisors, whether in business or in the military, there is a wide range to the degree of risk acceptance expressed by those lawyers to their bosses. I know that in my career as a business lawyer, I am well-loved by clients because I give them a range of options, all designed to support their business objectives, and I quantify the legal risk associated with each option, and I make a recommendation as to what option has the least legal risk and still supports the business objective. In my experience, I am an oddity. Most business lawyers will pick one option—the least risky one—and push it as if it is the ONLY option on the table. JAGs do the same thing, and the least risky option is always the most "woke" option. Now think about the ROE in Afghanistan under Stan McChrystal. Yes, McChrystal approved those ROE, but they were first formulated by a team of JAGs. And the formulation of that ROE was designed to expose US troops to maximal risk, while greatly reducing their ability to engage the men trying to kill them, and with the primary benefit being that the Theater Commander, McChrystal, was personally exposed to zero risk in cases of fratricide or civilian deaths. Those ROE? Let me tell you, in descending order, who was most protected from risk: 1. Stan McChrystal. 2. The JAGs who advised Stan McChrystal. 3. The Taliban. 4. American troops. Here’s the other thing. When the JAG says “We must follow these ROE for blah blah blah whatever reason…”, no commander is going to ignore that because what happens if something goes wrong and the world finds out that he ignored the lawyers’ advice and something really bad happened? (That’s the same in business too, FYI.) So the problem with the JAG Corps is: 1. It’s too woke. 2. It’s too risk averse. 3. It’s too dedicated to protecting the brass and not the troops. 4. It wields such power and authority that while they technically “advise” the commander, we have instead de facto made them more important than the commander. This is the Gospel truth, and it must be fixed.

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a notorious antisemitic forgery, was first published in Russia around 1903-1905, purported to reveal a secret Jewish plot for global domination through manipulation of governments, media, economies, and societal morals. It was widely disseminated in the early 20th century, influencing Nazi propaganda and persisting in various forms despite being debunked as plagiarism from earlier satirical works. While the historical contexts differ (early 20th-century imperial Russia vs. modern digital-age America), several parallels exist in their formation, dissemination, and antisemitic undertones. Many Epstein theories lack substantial evidence, relying on speculative connections (e.g., his Jewish background, friendships with figures like Les Wexner or Ehud Barak) to claim involvement in broader plots, such as Mossad blackmail operations. Both transform isolated facts or coincidences into overarching conspiracies blaming Jewish influence for moral corruption. In both cases, dissemination exploits existing prejudices, with modern versions accelerating via digital echo chambers, much like how the Protocols endured through reprints and adaptations. Central to the Protocols is the myth of Jews as a shadowy elite orchestrating wars, financial crises, and societal decay through immorality and manipulation. Epstein conspiracies often echo this by portraying him as part of a "Jewish elite" using sex trafficking and blackmail to control politicians, media, and global events, with claims of Israeli ties reinforcing tropes of dual loyalty or hidden agendas. This includes dehumanizing stereotypes of Jews as corrupters of "pure" society, a theme dating back to medieval blood libels but recycled in both narratives. The Protocols gained prominence amid social upheavals like the Russian Revolution and World War I, scapegoating Jews for instability. Epstein theories surged during periods of political polarization, Both exploit crises to frame Jews as puppet masters behind chaos. Despite debunkings, the Protocols remain influential in extremist circles worldwide, from Russian Orthodox communities to Middle Eastern media. Epstein theories have similarly persisted and mainstreamed, appearing in congressional hearings, TV series, and viral posts, often without regard to Epstein's actions being unrelated to his Jewish identity. This endurance highlights how such conspiracies adapt to new eras while fueling antisemitism across political spectrums. These parallels underscore how old antisemitic frameworks are repurposed for contemporary scandals, often without evidence, to perpetuate harmful stereotypes. However, experts emphasize that Epstein's crimes were individual and not tied to Judaism or Israel, and conflating them risks amplifying bigotry.

This isn’t a game, you lefty morons. If you mess with federal agents and try to pull a gun in a struggle, you will be shot until you are no longer a member of this world. Make smarter decisions or die for illegal alien criminals and rapists. That’s your choice. Personally, I believe it’s better for the tax payers if you just f around and find out 🤷‍♂️ Autopsy. Cremate. CONUS kill for an officer. End of story.
