ITPB Metro Skywalk Opens, Boosting Last-Mile Connectivity in Whitefield International Tech Park Bengaluru (ITPB) has inaugurated a 320-foot-long skywalk connecting Pattandur Agrahara Metro Station (Purple Line) directly to ITPB and Park Square Mall. #Bengaluru The project, jointly opened by CapitaLand India Trust & @OfficialBMRCL , is expected to benefit over 55,000 professionals, improving pedestrian safety, reducing road crossings and easing traffic in the Whitefield area. 🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️ A new citywide walking & cycling challenge was launched today from Vidhana Soudha Metro. The 3-month initiative aims to encourage walking, cycling and public transport across #Bengaluru’s major employment hubs, while also gathering citizen feedback to improve pedestrian and cycling infrastructure across the city. The launch featured a short community walk from Vidhana Soudha Metro to the city’s civic headquarters, with participation from government officials, corporate leaders and other supporters. PINK LINE ON TRACK The official testing of the #NammaMetro #PinkLine between Kalena Agrahara & Tavarekere, a 7.5 km stretch, will start from January 11 & continue till mid-April 2026. @OfficialBMRCL has said Main Line Testing is a vital activity prior to commercial ops, that will involve train performance validation & system integration for statutory approvals. During this period, traction and brake type tests, oscillation trials at various speeds, integration tests with signals, power and telecommunication systems among others will be conducted to ensure safety and reliability.

DCM @DKShivakumar visited Kogilu, where migrants had put up makeshift shelters at a waste-disposal site in Kogilu Layout near Yelahanka. These shelters were removed as CM @siddaramaiah had stated that the location is not suitable for human habitation. The issue drew unnecessary and uncalled-for attention from a neighbouring state. It is better for @pinarayivijayan, @kcvenugopalmp or other state politicians not to intervene in Karnataka’s affairs.
