My neighbor brought this up gingerly to me. She clearly felt it was wrong for the students to be forced to skip their snacks and water, alongside the Muslim students, but she was still hesitant to appear racist. We have to get comfortable talking about this problem.

I seriously have had enough. My neighbor is a substitute teacher. She worked at a school this week that was not allowing snack time for any child, and no child could have his or her water at their desk, because some Muslim students were doing Ramadan. In Phoenix.
