So @Tesla desperately needs a PR department outside of X. Here, everyone is just in a happy echo chamber. But in the real world, people have NO CLUE! Tesla needs to educate people about EVs and Self-Driving technology. Thank you for your attention to this matter! $tsla

Carwow just released a new video to its 11 million YouTube subscribers titled: "Why Tesla Full Self Drive is Pointless!" @carwowuk misleads its viewers into thinking Tesla’s Autopilot is FSD, even though FSD hasn’t been approved in the UK yet. Autopilot isn’t meant for city driving, yet they test of bunch of scenarios that Autopilot wasn't built to do in the first place....

Parameter increase Banish with Tesla taking liability Much better ASS with much larger range Full reasoning module that solves most nav issues and can read most if not all signage Max speed setting return and better speed profiles Better turning logic (no double stops)

@RivianTrackr Great space efficiency sure but I'm talking about energy efficiency. - .30 cd - 9.6" ground clearance - 32" tires - manual doors - Driver display, no rear display - premium interior design/materials These are just a few things not ideal for a robotaxi.

Pretty shocking result (that once again confirms what I wrote about the perils of distribution shift, 25 years ago): Translate coding benchmarks into languages LLMs can’t memorize and performance utterly falls apart.
Lossfunk@lossfunk

🚨 Shocking: Frontier LLMs score 85-95% on standard coding benchmarks. We gave them equivalent problems in languages they couldn't have memorized. They collapsed to 0-11%. Presenting EsoLang-Bench. Accepted to the Logical Reasoning and ICBINB workshops at ICLR 2026 🧵

If any non builder criticises any builder, the best reply is what are you building and see how illogical the debate gets.

I'm actually very bullish about most AI being well-aligned. And I think that aligned AI will allow us to stop rogue AI from taking over the world. But all it takes is one lucky powerful misaligned AI agent to release a doomsday virus...
roon@tszzl

modern alignment methods seem to work reasonably well across orders of magnitude of model scaling, survived the transition to verifiable rewards and that should at least inform your decision making

Tesla doesn't get to hide behind the "it's just ADAS" after promoting videos of people doing all kinds of irresponsible stuff with FSD engaged. Those days are long gone. Now it's mostly partial responsibility, that's why Tesla is losing/settling AP lawsuits.
Whole Mars Catalog@wholemars

@future_yas Yes, that’s how ADAS works. The driver pays attention and makes sure the car doesn’t make any mistakes. In the eyes of Tesla haters like you, Tesla is at fault even when someone crashes driving manually.

@xdNiBoR Tesla addresses this. As in the cybertruck video, it's possible a driver can't tell AP is going to make a major mistake until moment before it happens. In the CT video it looked like AP was planning to continue straight. Only Tesla would know what AP was doing.

Note: Tesla counts all accidents with FSD enabled up to 5 seconds prior to the accident as FSD related accidents. So someone jerking the steering wheel and ending up in the ditch (like we saw in that viral video last year), counts as an FSD crash. (And yes, people claiming that Tesla disengages FSD right before an accident on purpose are completely wrong)

@OGCapital25 @nerdalert They are required to report any incidents to the NHTSA who publicly discloses all the data on their website. They reported 1 in February (data available up to Feb 17th so might be another) for a total of 15 since they started.

There has been a huge drop in reported accidents with the robotaxi fleet recently (note that these are all minor). I think this may have been the bottleneck to scaling up robotaxi service. The next few months will be telling; if 14.3 is a significant step change we should see a more aggressive rollout of monitorless robotaxis.

@DBurkland @pbeisel It’s in testing right now. Wide release in a few weeks.

When I started meditating (around 2019), I was also deeply engrossed in everything related to Elon Musk. I had only recently heard of him and was very fascinated by everything he had already accomplished up to that point. This story emerged from that experience. I read it again yesterday for the first time in a long while and thought it was worth posting here.

“Digital Optimus” just means an AI agent that can use a computer. Just like Optimus can interact with the physical world, Digital Optimus interacts with the digital world. The interesting part is that it’s designed to run locally on Tesla’s AI inference computer.
TheLastTesla@YTJustGetATesla

Can anyone tell me what “digital Optimus” is please. Without resorting to slogans you don’t actually understand…
