@biased_human I think mobiles have taken control, we should start "fasting" by being without them couple of times in a day, when we walk / exercise/ lunches / dinners etc.

I live in Bengaluru. I leave for badminton every day at 6:40 am on my bike. But I booked an auto to the court today. It is Indiranagar, auto arrived within minutes but I was still getting ready. To my surprise, driver neither called me nor he was angry when I went downstairs. He was busy scrolling reels. I gave my OTP and the ride started. There is a signal near to my house. It was green but only 4 seconds were left. Driver accelerated but the timer ran out. We were stuck at the signal for next 90 seconds. To my left stopped a Tata Nexon. The lady driving must be in her early 30s. She turned off her engine, picked her phone and started scrolling reels. I reached court on time but my friend was yet to come. I went to reception to ask about the court number. An old uncle who was of my father's age was sitting there. He didn't respond in the first time. He had held his phone to his eye level and was busy scrolling reels. My court number was 3. It was 6:55 am. This court was probably booked by 5 people from 6 to 7 am. 4 were playing doubles and the 5th guy was waiting. He wasn't bothered about watching the game, he was busy scrolling reels. Reels have quietly taken over the world.

@PranavaBhardwaj It is framed in constitution as basis of reservations so kaise haatega? Today every form asks for that information. What it was supposed to address is helping assert it with every new gen. Ban it, people like you are changing, others will or ignore them but can that be done?

Last week, I took my daughter for a walk around the society with my wife. Two aunties met us and started a conversation: “Aap kaunse flat mein rehte ho?” I replied with the flat number. Then they asked our names. My wife told them her name, and the aunties asked, “Aage?” This is a posh society in Greater Noida, with retired bureaucrats and defence personnel, including people who retired as Secretaries and Generals. Reservation hatana hai? Abhi nahi hatega. 100–200 saal lagenge, bhai. SC/ST ka reservation, you’ll have to cope with it.

@letsblinkit @Swiggy @amazonnow hope you spot check your delivery partners to check if they wear helmets, with strap on, while delivering? I see very few qcom delivery folks doing that.

@VikasSaraswat @IndiGo6E can easily put an end to this nonsense by reporting the matter to the police and the police officer can escort them at arrival. Unless and until the airline also starts taking these incidents seriously, they are not going send a clear message to passengers.

I grew up in Punjab during the brutal years of militancy. I remember reading newspaper headlines about buses being stopped and innocent passengers being pulled out and killed. I also remember accounts of young men being picked up, detained and tortured, despite having nothing to do with the movement. Including from my village. Those memories are precisely why I don’t believe we should become so uncomfortable with difficult chapters of our history that we stop telling stories about them.

@SaketGokhale Ok, he was not a perfect police officer, could be reprimanded, can anyone be in situation he was put in? Easy for people like you. If he was already convicted then why punish him again? What about crimes committed by terrorists against thousands? Or that never happened?

KPS Gill was a terrorist who claimed to fight terrorism. He abused the power of his uniform to butcher thousands of innocents in Punjab. KPS Gill needs to be consigned to the dustbin of history for all the blood he has on his hands. That he was a convicted sexual predator is fitting for someone who was drunk on power. There have been scores of great officers in India’s police history. KPS Gill, on the other hand, is a dark stain whose crimes have gone unacknowledged for decades. The Padma Shri given to KPS Gill in 1989 must be withdrawn. Let us begin to correct history albeit belatedly. Our nation deserves better than to glorify such diabolical murderers.

@worshipVK Totally agree, he / all his work should be banned, he is not an Indian, he never stood for India's integrity. Specific incidents of excess should be condemned, but terrorists were no saints either. Punjabis / Sikhs are loved, respected and are integral part of the country.

Just watched Satluj - It's a great one time watch movie - but it shows assassination of a CM with a happy BGM - Justifies Khalistani extremism in almost every scene - It also whitewashes every bad deed which will be done by khalistanis in future - America based actor, Diljit has tried his best to poison the minds of Indian youth while sitting in Canada - KPS Gill was appointed by PM then removed by another PM and later brought back by a different PM to save Punjab - He removed 700 Khalistani terrorists by tying their legs on jeeps - Satluj has shown him in a bad light and portrayed a government officer who was trying his best to protect his country as villian Diljit Dosanjh tries every year to show India as a violent country while sitting in canada. He should be blacklisted and his entry into this country should be restricted 🙏

It’s 34 degrees in London & Brits are burning; rail tracks melting, restaurants turning off fryers etc. As my wife asked : how did these wimps manage to rule super hot India for so long in their heavy uniforms & elaborate tailcoats? This is cooler than Indian summers

@HDFCERGOGIC why is it so difficult to renew (of all the things) the policy? I have been chasing this for last 2 weeks with tele-support, care@hdfcergo, etc. as self-help refuses to work, at least for me.

@SachdevaAmita And that is the reason that police almost anywhere does not hold any high moral ground, real respect. Usually pcrs are driving the wrong way even when there is no emergency.

Went to a Chart Thela tonight. A Delhi Police jeep stopped, and the officers openly took whatever they wanted, snacks, drinks, whatever, and drove off without paying a single rupee. I asked the vendor, “Bhaiya, don’t they pay you?” He just went silent. His face said it all, fear, helplessness, and exhaustion. This is the level of Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) today. Not protectors. Not law enforcers. Just uniformed extortionists preying on poor street vendors who are barely earning their living. Shame on this police force. When the people meant to uphold the law start looting the common man so openly, the system has rotted completely.

@SaffronChargers Problem is neither truckers are educated about driving in slower lanes nor is highway patrol, if there is one, asking them to stay in those lanes. Zero enforcement.

Maldives - You can sit on a beach Bali - You can sit on a beach Phuket - You can sit on a beach Mauritius - You can sit on a beach Hawaii - You can sit on a beach I don't know why vacation lovers spend lakhs to visit foreign beaches. They say, “The water is crystal clear, and the beach is world-class.” If you watch a sunset in Goa instead of Bali, the sun will remain the same. India has Andaman, Goa, and Lakshadweep. People have really lost their common sense.
