From the Fields of Bharat A Call for Reform Rooted in Hope On 2nd October 2024, Team HoPE set out across remote villages in six states and five districts with a single purpose to listen to India’s farmers. Through sustained Krishi Dialogues, field studies and ground level analysis, we engaged with every dimension of agriculture markets, transport, rainfall, costs, MSP, partnerships and sustainability. The message was unambiguous. Farmers are not resisting change. They are demanding reform. There was clear satisfaction with the present Central Government, alongside a strong appeal for direct engagement with institutions and a narrower gap between policy intent and ground reality. Farmers called for the removal of middlemen from agriculture, the integration of MGNREGA with farming activities, wider access to technology, a push for organic practices and a long term sustainable agricultural model. Equally significant was their desire for dialogue over disruption, discussion over protest and deeper attention to the fields that sustain the nation. Across regions and communities, one sentiment stood out. Farmers continue to place their faith and hope in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, as we pay tribute to the great champion of farmers, Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji, we reaffirm that meaningful agricultural reform must emerge from the soil itself. @airtelindia I recharged 2 validity plans before due date, but Airtel counted both at the same time. New recharge started immediately instead of after the current one ended. This is unfair and unacceptable. I request my new recharge be activated only after existing plan expires.
