While conducting patrols in Alexandra & surrounding areas #JMPD, @SAPS & @GTP_Traffstats officers received information regarding a male suspect, a Zimbabwean national, allegedly involved in the manufacturing & sale of fraudulent Malawian driver’s licences to Uber scooter drivers. The team proceeded to the identified location & upon arrival found the suspect at his rented apartment on Boshoff Street in President Park. Officers questioned the suspect about his activities & he admitted to the illegal operation showing the team the equipment & fraudulent documents in his possession. He was subsequently placed under arrest for possession of fraudulent documents & fraud &detained at Midrand SAPS. Items seized at the scene: 1x Dell laptop 1x Asus laptop 1x Canon printer 1x Keyboard Numerous fraudulent Malawian, South African & Zimbabwean driver’s licenses, asylum documents, work permits, passports & identity documents including laminated counterfeit cards. Driver arrested by National Traffic Police on the N1 for failing to affix both reg plates. It was established that he made a sworn affidavit @SAPS that all his reg plates were stolen, to find that he allegedly removed & hide them in the spare wheel compartment. Detained.

50-year-old Nigerian Drug Dealer Arrested in Nelspruit with R1.2 Million Worth of Drugs Including Crystal Meth, Cocaine and Heroin A 50-year-old Nigerian national was arrested in Nelspruit on 09 January 2026 for dealing and manufacturing drugs, following a law enforcement operation involving the White River K9 Unit, Tactical Response Team, and the Provincial Head Office Organised Crime Investigation Narcotics Unit. The arrest was based on intelligence received regarding the suspect’s involvement in drug activities. During a search of flats around Stonehenge, a hidden compartment inside a wardrobe was found containing 1.8 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 900 g of cocaine, various forms of crack cocaine, 250 g of heroin, and R44 800 in cash. The total estimated value of the drugs is R1.2 million. The suspect faces charges of dealing and manufacturing drugs, identity fraud, and contraventions of the Immigration Act. He is expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court. Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi commended the collaboration between all units involved.

@CarlsBeef Agree, not a huge Caissie backer. 28% strikeout rate in AAA past 2 years is a pretty big concern. Cade and Cabby can be a destructive 1-2 punch in the rotation. Like you said, big asterisk is Cabrera's elbow. But prospect value lost needs to be mentioned in that comparison.

He’s miles behind Cade Horton and Matt Shaw - two rookies well deserving of the “top prospect” kinda designation whereas ONKC is a top prospect more of circumstance. He will be good and maybe even Real Good But he needs 1,000 PA’s and two more offseasons to scratch potential With 2027 lockout looming and Cubs carrying $50m on payroll after this year, there’s almost no way we can regret this unless ONKC becomes a perennial all star by 2028 which I will gladly bet against
