@Brazil201 @ThePoliticalHQ I'm in Lincoln. I've never seen the lines this long... I gotta think that's a good sign for Osborn.

@lionel_trolling If I told you that I was racing a cheetah this weekend, would you say it's impossible to determine who is likely to win because I've never raced a cheetah and never will again?

@seskoog @JMilesColeman Pollsters can be wrong, but to put out a poll so far from what people were expecting shows integrity even if it ends up being way off.

@joeylavarias Most superheroes work two jobs. That's kinda their thing.

@PoorestG @Politics_Polls @NateSilver538 14% higher chance is not the same as being "up 14 points". He's up less than a point in the polling average.
Harris still has a good shot at winning the state. It's just not quite a 50/50 shot if you believe the numbers.

@metroadlib I do not think he was sarcastic. I think he genuinely think Hinchcliffe is funny...in the correct setting. A roast is the correct setting. A political rally is not.
English

I watched the full segment last night. Def thought he was being sarcastic. I didn't receive this as a defense at all. Did anyone else watch the whole opening? B/c I came away with a different view entirely.

Jon Stewart Defends Tony Hinchcliffe After Controversial Trump Rally Jokes: 'I Find That Guy Very Funny' variety.com/2024/tv/news/j…
English

@James_Holzhauer It is kinda funny that I don't know any Jeopardy contestants that would vote for Trump (or at least haven't admitted as much), but I know dozens that are voting for Harris.
English

@OurHighMinds @stevenspohn I just don't think it's a well-crafted joke. If your intended reaction is for people to gasp and laugh in shock that you said something so horrible, then maybe the joke just isn't that funny. I like my jokes to sound like they're not read off of a Cards Against Humanity card.
English

@schandelman @stevenspohn Nothing. They are comedians. If you get offended by comedians telling jokes then i feel bad for you.
English

You can be mad at me for not sticking to gaming topics and accessibility like so many of you would like me to. But this. Why are we okay with this? Your vote says whether or not you support this kind of thing. Racism, veiled as jokes, shouldn't be okay. But don't worry, I will lose followers and be called snowflake for advocating for equality, even though advocacy is likely the reason they followed me in the first place.

“There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico”
English

@OurHighMinds @stevenspohn What could be the difference between Tony Hinchcliffe telling a joke about Puerto Ricans and George Lopez telling a joke about Mexicans?
Hmmm, yeah, I just can't put my finger on it.

@seanrcallaghan @NateSilver538 Just because something *could* happen does not make it "statistically indistinguishable" from randomness.
English

@NateSilver538 That could mean most polls come in at +4. You would caution us, then, to ignore that result?
