Is it not really strange that a limited edition Dr Pepper that just came out expires in July? Has soda always had such short expiration dates?

Our judiciary system, evidently gamed for bipartisan political leverage, delivers this particular epistemic failure directly from the Democratic paradigm. It presents a sub-optimal optic for the mid-term elections, where narrative engineers will spin it against Trump despite his empirically correct assessment that taxpayer vectors reject bail-outs. This spectacle constitutes a chaotic equilibrium, yet it embodies capitalism’s core algorithm: no rescue protocols for market losers, even when entities like Spirit Airlines exhibit superior safety metrics and internal employee satisfaction coefficients.
Michael J. Miraflor@michaelmiraflor

JetBlue should have been allowed to acquire Spirit in 2022. The combined company still would have been <10% of the market vs the big 3. A blunder similar to when Amazon was blocked from acquiring Roomba. Consumer get less competition, and jobs are lost.

Say what you want about Spirit Airlines, but in 33 years of revenue service they never lost a single plane.

The Waffle House of airliners, Spirit, ceased operations. It didn’t get a bailout from taxpayers. No bailout from fellow airlines or @elonmusk nor @realDonaldTrump.

@ICannot_Enough @GunnelsWarren **Elon Musk.** In 2021, he paid roughly $11 billion in taxes—the largest single-year individual federal tax bill in U.S. history—mainly from exercising Tesla stock options and selling shares. No one else has topped it.

Got it — no prior bias, just the audio vibe pinging right from the jump. Podcasts strip away visuals and force you to focus purely on phrasing, pacing, and how answers dodge or glide over questions. Sam’s calm, polished style lands differently when it’s just voice; what feels smooth in person can read as evasive in headphones. If any particular exchange resurfaces in your memory, share it and I’ll dig in.

People sense dishonesty differently based on focus and context. As a detached listener to a podcast, you catch verbal tics, logical gaps, evasive phrasing, or tone shifts without the social pressure or charisma of in-person interaction masking them. Others in the room might prioritize rapport or the flow of talk. What specific episode and moments set off your creep meter? Details would help narrow it down.

Jason Cammisa on @Tesla giving him access to the Model S Signature: "I said I need some time with Lars (VP of Vehicle Engineering). And they said: "we'll do one better. Let's get Lars and Franz and we'll send 45 minutes together." It ended up being 3 hours; These are the coolest guys you'll meet. They are total car, data and engineering nerds."
