@2manypeople4me @physicianassoci @mancunianmedic I'm not sure what you're asking? A standard ACP or PA would not be able to progress to those bands without a new role being created for them and that would not be normal in much the same way that a staff nurse wouldn't access band 7 without becoming something like a ward manager

@BritishGasHelp @BritishGas our EV fixed tariff came to an end in September and so we selected a new one with yourselves. However, on the website it is only showing the standard tariff now and the app doesn't show my tariff at all. I have received emails confirming both tariffs?!

@2manypeople4me @physicianassoci @mancunianmedic Band 8 is split into four sub-bands A-D and there is not automatic progression through them so an ANP on 8a (as is common in my local area) would never progress to an 8b salary unless they applied for a job that paid that.

@physicianassoci @mancunianmedic Salaried GPs pay scale £73K to £110K B8 AfC £54K to £101K So 2.5 days a week would be £40.5K to £61K, so that doesn't really add up, especially as a PA can be a B8 before the GP even CCTs

@SJB293 @alisonleary1 Do you have any evidence of this cos from my POV it's plainly wrong? I'd love for you to elaborate on what 'care-based' means.

@alisonleary1 Nurse training since Project 2000 has followed a care-based curriculum whereas AHPs such as physios and paramedics usually follow a science-based curriculum and make autonomous clinical decisions as newly qualified graduates

@sea_beez @alisonleary1 @simontutt88 I did until 5 seconds ago… Never heard of a DN with prescribing or much in the way of patient assessment skills. Reading this thread it would appear I don’t know what a DN is 🤔 Every day’s a school day!

@alisonleary1 @TheQNI Was going to complete but only a trainee so don't have a badge yet and unsure of it's impact or even if it will still exist when I am fully qualified!

@NJL_Blancq As a student nurse, I played a 'dead' body in one of these exercises for the hart team and armed police - was a cool experience for me and even as a bystander could see how useful it was for them.

I’ve attended these scenarios throughout my education and been taught by the experienced simulation leads. It’s a fantastic and genuinely high-fidelity exercise with great benefit to all involved. Does the set dressing matter? I don’t think so. The education is what’s key.

Once upon a time, when I was 15, I watched The Ring and it scared me so much I slept with the light on for weeks. As a horror enthusiast, I'm still chasing that high. What are your favourite/scariest films in the genre?
