Further, what is the position of the so-called Indigenous Forum comprising representatives of Kacha Naga, Tangkhul, Liangmai and Meitei groups, which has been vocal on other issues but remains silent on this matter affecting civilian supply lines? The locations of Awangkhul, Kambiron, Nungba, Jiribam Parking, Noney and Oinamlong have been specifically cited in representations to the government as points where such illegal collections are taking place, allegedly involving various armed groups. These areas have been cited as operating zones of Tangkhul NSCN-IM, ZUF-Kamson and other Meitei secessionist groups. In light of the 15th July 2026 representation submitted by 9 transporters' associations regarding extortion of POL and LPG tankers on NH-37, immediate intervention is requested. It is also noted that the official handle of Manipur Police @manipur_police, the Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Govindas Konthoujam @KonthoujamG and Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand @YKhemchandSingh have not issued any public clarification on this issue to date.
