If this is the case, it is intentionally partisan gerrymandering which is against the constitutional amendment passed by 63% of Florida voters in 2010.

Partisan gerrymandering goes against Florida’s state constitution. The more folks advocate for it, the clearer it will be for even a partisan court like Florida’s to knock down new maps.

To my friends in Tallahassee: in a state that is ruby red, it’s time to respond to what we saw tonight in Virginia with a redistricting plan that reflects Florida’s true partisan lean—and adds 3–4 GOP seats to our supermajority. Republicans have been in power in Florida for over 30 years. Prices aren’t high because of ‘woke,’ rainbow flags, or whatever the distraction is this week. People are leaving, and the cost of living is so high because of leadership that’s been focused on headlines instead of people.

What a beautiful morning in Lummus Park at 12 Street as our community came together to unveil the reconstructed LGBTQIA+ crosswalk turned rainbow streetscape along with a commemorative plaque and colorful bench. Today’s ceremony honored not only the vibrant colors that symbolize love and inclusion, but also the meaningful history behind them — with each of the 3,606 bricks thoughtfully reassembled after being torn from the rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of 12 Street and Ocean Drive last year. Their return represents the strength of our LGBTQIA+ community and our city’s commitment to standing proudly with them. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this powerful moment of resilience, pride and unity. 🏳️‍🌈✨
