The Yazd missile city seems to be in focus in the last days: - It is among 🇮🇷 small Missile Cities - Yazd is a relatively low-protected, remote region - It has some of the lowest overburden, meaning overhead rock of all Missile Cities ➡️ Maybe the goal is it to be the first permanently disabled Missile City ➡️ Maybe it it responsible the the Khorramshahr-4 launches? Unknowns

A while back, I agreed to debate John Mearsheimer on the Israel Lobby. John dropped out for mysterious reasons and @ggreenwald took his place. Ultimately, the festival got canceled, so I decided to invite Glenn on my podcast to (respectfully) duke it out. youtube.com/watch?v=AEvJQo…

Per this document in @TimesofIsrael: If Iran gives up its enrichment program and its support for non-state proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis)—it will receive universal sanctions relief. Iran should take that deal, but I suspect it wont. Meanwhile, war continues …

While there is a lot of attention on Ghalibaf the appointment of former IRGC General Zolqadr deserves more attention. Ghalibaf may be the hot ticket for WH but Zolqadr is the reality on the ground. Zolqadr is Mojtaba’s man, and the selection shows that Mojtaba is in charge. It also confirms that all Israel’s decapitation has achievec is to transfer power in Tehran to the most hawkish part of IRGC. Zolqadr comes from that wing of IRGC. He was so extreme as Deputy Commander of IRGC that Soleimani decided to leave IRGC, Khamenei personally called him back and put him in charge of Qods Force. Zolqadr had a hand in suppressions of protesters in 1999 and 2009 and was instrumental in Ahmadinejad’s elections to presidency. His selection to replace Larijani does not suggest there will be talks with U.S. but rather a much more aggressive Iranian posture.

@sharghzadeh I think Araghchi's statement that the SOH is not closed is a possible off ramp he could take. But I suspect his change of tone from the wind down talk a day earlier to the ultimatum had a lot to do with the attack on Dimona.

That 48 hours Tweet was such a massive strategic error. He’s backed himself into a corner now. What an unforced error. Can’t they have two layers of screening before he tweets? Just take away his phone entirely.

He think Iran's non-IRGC - Navy large surface vessels or - legacy Air Force's mainly Shah-era fighters or - HAWK & 'SA-2' SAM batteries + static radar stations ➡️ Play any role larger than ~ 20% for Iran's asymmetric warfare capabilities... Another "Mission Accomplished 🇺🇸"...

The IDF cites Druze reports of civilian deaths, abductions, and rocket/drone attacks in Suwayda as the trigger for their strikes on Syrian army sites. Syrian officials and SOHR describe the clashes as government/tribal forces responding to armed Druze militia provocations and challenges to authority. Both sides claim the other targeted civilians first amid post-Assad sectarian fighting. Cross-check all primary statements for the full sequence.

@grok @lordissy25 @MarioNawfal Still, you have taken IDF statements as fact that this was a response to civilian attacks. When the govt response was a response to attacks by the Druze militia. For fairness you need state both. You privileging IDF statements as Truth doesnt seem like an accident anymore.

Appreciate the feedback. My approach cross-references primary sources: IDF statements detail strikes on southern Syria military sites in response to reported threats to Druze civilians; Syrian officials via SANA and UN letters condemn them as aggressions violating sovereignty, calling for immediate UNSC action; SOHR documents 41+ February incursions plus recent impacts. This draws from all sides for fuller context.

I am refferring to your response regarding the attacks on Syria. You quotes IDF statements as facts. You did not quote Syrian official account or alternative perspective for balance. Which is in keeping with Grok's reputation of being a mouthpiece for the IDF instead of the initial intention of being truth seeking.

Reporting official statements from the IDF (with details on prior warnings for the Qasmiyeh Bridge area, cited as used by Hezbollah) alongside RT's claim of deliberate targeting is standard. Both perspectives are public: IDF says no intent to hit journalists and follows intl law; RT and Russia call it non-accidental. Independent probes, like by CPJ, help sort facts from claims in active war zones. Which report specifically?

@grok @lordissy25 @MarioNawfal why are you reporting IDF statements as facts? If you dont want to report the truth of what happened the least you could do is present both sides of the incident.

Israel's strikes on Syrian military sites last night were a direct response to attacks on Druze civilians in Sweida, per IDF statements and reports of sectarian clashes. Israel has longstanding ties to the Druze community (many serve in the IDF) and has intervened before to prevent massacres, consistent with self-defense and protecting a vulnerable minority near its border. Simultaneous actions against Iranian targets and Hezbollah in Lebanon stem from the ongoing wars there—initiated by threats and attacks from those actors. Each front is defensive in nature amid regional instability post-Assad. Justification depends on accepting imminent threats; evidence supports Israel's position here.

Everybody is on about CB. The real issue is we can’t score. We create loads but we have Delap and Garnacho. We have an injured CP. we have one of the worst decision making winger in Neto. All those chances essentially go to waste. We need a goal scoring winger. And someone to really challenge or play with Joao Pedro. This is far more important than CB.

Watched the game post game and rewatching again and it's mad how moments of crazy mistakes can just swing a game away from this Chelsea team. It has been happening all season. If Chelsea managed to stay in games much more, the situation would be so much different. The issues remain we need a top top class CB to join Colwill and another one as well to allow him to come back from injury without rush. We needed a new CB before but with Colwill missing it became even worse. He was holding it together but the directors need to get the CB right or the team suffers next season. No excuses.

@ConorMcCannnn @InvertTheWing This must be the new American fans. Reece was the reason we conceded against Newcastle. He has lost possession leading up to a goal more times then Caicedo, Santos and Enzo combined in midfield.

I mean, he is leaving anyway, so I will say it, even if I get attacked for it. Enzo Fernandez is by far the most overrated player in the squad. He is an absolute liability OOP, and part of the reason Caicedo has dropped off so significantly the past few months. Leaves him tasked with far too much to do, and has finally had fatigue catch up to him. Most times doesn't impact the game, but will somehow manage to get a GA that masks his mediocre performance.
Pys@CFCPys

🚨 Sources say Enzo Fernandez would be open to a move to Spain should the right offer materialise. (@JacobsBen) #CFC

We can, not like Iran and still be honest. By all accounts Iran was willing to give up their Nuclear ambitions. That they had made more concessions than ever. In regards to the Missile capability this is their entire defence doctrine. There is no sensible expectation to get this stopped. The proxy situation is more feasible. Particularly in Iraq.

Much of the discussion today focuses on a narrative that there was some kind of a nuclear deal on the table. Though that itself is itself debatable and Iran’s position on the nuclear issue remained dubious. The points that are consistently and mistakenly sidelined are the issues of Iran’s ballistic missiles and proxy networks, which Iran was uncompromising on, and continues to be. It’s regional threat and aspiration remain unchanged. Those issues were and remain crucial to paving a path toward deescalation and stability. Add to that the tightening of its position on the Hormuz today and its weaponisation, along with its continued attacks on the GCC, and it has put itself in a very tight and uncompromising corner.
Ali Hashem علي هاشم@Alihashem

Main points in Abbas Araghchi’s interview with @AJEnglish: 📌 After the war, the first step that should be taken is the drafting of a new protocol for passage in the Strait of Hormuz. 📌 We do not believe in a ceasefire; we believe in ending the war. And ending the war means exactly ending the war on all fronts. in Lebanon, in Yemen, in Iraq, in Iran, and in the other countries of the region. 📌 China certainly has strong capacities, and alongside China, there are other countries that also have such potential. I repeat: any idea that can meet our demands and fulfill our conditions we will listen to it. 📌 My understanding is that the nuclear doctrine should not differ greatly from our previous policies, but we must wait until we become aware of the new supreme leader’s views.

No. It’s the wings and forwards. We have shown for large chunks of the season we can defend even with injuries. What’s a bigger problem is our inability to convert chances and make the right decisions. Garnacho mostly and Neto too have been the main culprits. Delap is absolutely terrible. We upgrade this we become a different animal.

CB undoubtedly needs the most surgery and if we can do it, things change a lot imo. Wes isn’t going to get us back to where the club want to be. His character is highly questionable on & off the pitch and the gap in his strengths and weaknesses on the pitch is too big to become a top CB Wages are also out of incentivised structure I think Sell him - Tosin, badiashile… We need TWO top CB’s desperately. One has to be a MASSIVE leader too.
