After the public found out how much Quants make ($600,000 - 7 figs), the word "Quant" has become synonymous with a buzzword.
A lot of people think that they become quants, but statistically it's impossible. Only the 1% of the 1% of the 1% make it to a Wall Street Quant Trading firm.
Jane Street, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Renaissance Technologies LLC, Two Sigma, Citadel, The D. E. Shaw Group, AQR Capital Management, Hudson River Trading
In order to pipeline to quant firms, you need to be winning Math Olympiads and Academic Decathlons. It's more than getting into a T1 school or an Ivy League, its being so intuitively smart that you can take Probability Theory, OSINT, and the ability to solve any complex math problem in seconds and translate those skills to predict market trends.

A lot of people don't know that using MCMC (Markov Chain, Monte Carlo Simulations) prompting can significantly reduce risk in decision making with LLMs
We can construct a Markov chain whose stationary distribution equals the target distribution, allowing sampling from complex, high-dimensional posterior distributions used in Bayesian prediction
From there we can create and model distributions and confidence intervals for practically anything.
Ex. I go to Claude, and I ask it what is the probability that I increase my conversion rate by x% by building out this feature in my app. Use MCMC to model the probability and graphically show the modeling with Matlib. Additionally give me confidence intervals and use descriptive statistics to write a summary about the distribution.
Ex. (For fun) I go to Claude, and I ask it what is the probability that I become a millionaire and go through the same process

The education system teaches people not to use AI; however current trends show that employers look for fluent usage with Artificial Intelligence
"Businesses with 250 or more employees average 32.5% AI use, versus 17.3 among businesses with 5 to 9 employees" (Conte, 2026)
"Colorado, Arizona, and Washington, D.C. have the highest business AI adoption rates in 2026, while West Virginia ranks last at 10.8%" (Conte, 2026)
If we extrapolate the data, we can make predictions about what's hot in the market right now. A lot of people have no clue what the difference between an Agent and a Chatbot is.
This means that setting up AI system infrastructure and hosting these services is a very high value skill and has vast lucrative opportunities.

Nomad
a member of a people that travels from place to place to find fresh pasture for its animals and has no permanent home
The modern-day definition has transcended these Mongolian origins. When we refer to nomads now, we refer to a group of entrepreneurs who travel the world and work remotely.
SF, NYC, Austin, Atlanta, Seattle, Bali, Beijing, London, Boston, LA, Miami, Chicago, San Diego, Berlin, Singapore, Seoul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi
Tim Ferris talks about working for yourself creating the richest life experience you can for yourself. Doing as little work as possible while having the biggest ROI on activity so you can spend your free time with your friends, family, loved ones, and experiencing everything life has to offer.
Many people have been conditioned to stay right where they grew up, never traveling the world and immersing themselves in world culture.
It has been said that the further you get away from home, the higher your earning potential.
Go travel and build while meeting cool people

When I fix the one bug with my website with Claude Code that I've been trying to debug for hours #Claude

Isn't it crazy how there are still some developers who don't know what a tech stack is? That's mind blowing to me!
I meet so many everyday that have no idea what that is #AI #techstack
