You should see what our David has done with his latest buy to let. A tired old 1930s detached. He's modernised the lot. New plastic windows, properly insulated. The original front garden was a maintenance nightmare so he's tarmacked it over. Parking for four cars now. He's painted the brickwork a smart grey. Tenants love it. The neighbours aren't happy but they should see it on a sunny day. A sight for sore eyes. Some people just have vision. 🇬🇧

The Arnage has now covered a few hundred miles since being back on the road, and it's probably fair to say it's impressed everyone who has been in or driven it. Comfortable, luxurious, stylish, and with a few niggles still to sort. Nothing major, air con that isn't quite cold, a rear window that doesn't open and a boot release that doesn't release without the key. If I'm being particular I would like for the driver's seat to go back a bit more, which I don't remember being an issue with the facelift Arnage. Other than that, I don't think it quite has the character of a B-road hooner like the Turbo R does, but perhaps only because the electronics would rather you were a bit more grown up. Also nice to drive a turbo car that actually feels like a turbo car. Boosty.

Yes, there is no explicit law to say we must interpret foreign languages. HOWEVER, as stated in your own reference, "Local authorities must comply with the duties set out in the Equalities Act 2010, including the duty not to discriminate and the public sector equality duty."
So if we had a 'No English, No Service' policy, we would be open to lawsuits costing thousands to the local council taxpayer, which we would most likely lose.
We campaigned on this as a wider issue. A Reform UK Government will scrap the Equalities Act and replace it with a better alternative.

We know that Reform councils are spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on foreign language translation. Reform people have got very upset with me pointing that out... So, let's take a look at the evidence. This below is what Reform posted on the 25th of March 2025 about Lincolnshire County Council. "£200,000 wasted on translation, interpretation and language services last year alone." If they thought they couldn't change it, why campaign on that point? They then won that council. Full control. What did they do? Upped the spend on foreign language translation services - splurging thousands and thousands more on translation for foreign languages. According to our investigation, they spent £272,245 in their first year in charge. Up from £244,947 the year before. Reform have claimed it's the law to provide foreign language translation services. Two points. If that's the case, why were they pushing this line before the election? Secondly, and more importantly. They're wrong. A Written Ministerial Statement by the former Communities Secretary stated the following... "Of course, local authorities must comply with the duties set out in the Equalities Act 2010, including the duty not to discriminate and the public sector equality duty. But this is not a legal duty to translate documents into foreign languages." Our FOI investigations have shown that across Reform councils they're spending VAST amounts of money on translation into Arabic, Kurdish and whatever else. We've got the stats from right across their councils. It is a scandalous waste. They are all talk. When it comes to delivering, they have made things worse - wasting thousands on Arabic translation costs. A total betrayal. Let me be clear about Restore Britain's position. We would scrap ALL foreign language translation/interpretation in the public sector. You live in England, you speak English. End of story. There is finally a political party willing to do what needs to be done. Restore Britain.

I often think about how a generation of Irish people and others like us across the West have had our lives turned upside down just as we reached adulthood.
For half of our lives, we knew one reality, a homogeneous country. But then that changed, and we've been forced to live in a new reality, the diverse reality.
We grew up in high-trust communities with a clear set of values and way of life and the future seemed certain.
We were raised by our parents, educated and prepared for life in a version of Ireland and the West that no longer exists.
Now we live in a low-trust society with competing value systems and the Irish way of life seems like a distant memory.
When we were young, we were told not to trust strangers, but now we're told to accept the presence of an infinite number of strangers from some of the worst places on planet Earth in our communities, and that somehow, it makes us stronger.
All of our hopes, dreams and plans have been sacrificed because the fundamental nature of what it means to be an Irish person in Ireland has been altered. Owning a home is no longer a guarantee, even finding one to rent is a challenge.
Securing a job nowadays means running the DEI gauntlet and being punished simply because you are Irish, in Ireland.
Raising a happy and healthy family is a daily struggle because the resources that were meant for Irish people have been shared with over a million non-Irish people.
Your kids now experience a totally different life to what we experienced, let's be honest, nobody was worried about being stabbed by an African outside school when we were young, but now that's reality.
What has happened to Ireland and other Western countries is not normal, and it should never be accepted as normal.
Your reality has been stolen from you and the future sacrificed. Now you're a tax-paying slave living in the ruins of a dying culture, while uncivilized savages move in next door to you and call you racist, and the government keeps inventing new ways to restrict your freedom.
