'Zis is ze way!'
Listen very carefully, I will take my mask off only once... I have been hearing this for three seasons now and needed to share!

@AzureDevOps Please update your status about the ongoing outage, since you're now ~ an hour overdue from when you said your last status update would be? msft.it/6016eR6OE

@Ebstar Staring blearily at the screen, trying to muster the will to get *another* coffee

@skirk You should tweet more and let us know if anything has changed ☕️

@TLRailUK Where should they be? On the windows or on the outside of the doors themselves?
English

@skirk Hi Simon, sorry to hear this! Just to confirm are there blue wifi logos on the doors of this service? ^Kim
English

@TLRailUK 4th train (today, the 08:04 Northbound from Horsham) in two days with no on-board wifi. Given the terrible Cellular blackspots on the way to London Bridge, this lack is pretty lame. Should we expect it to be this unavailable?
English

@TLRailUK And again today (09:33 from Gatwick Airport, car number is 401117).
No wifi, and power sockets also not working in rear carriage.
So including yesterday’s trip home that’s now 6th train in a row and counting.
Here’s hoping for this evening on the way home!
English

@TLRailUK Sure, but these are newish trains that have had wifi on them every day until recently, with the odd exception. Hence why I’m asking. I get the feeling it’s broken down and nobody’s doing anything about it.
English

@skirk Roughly 50% of the units have WiFi - those built after TL took over and persuaded DfT to fund that and seat back tables. TL manage the service for the DfT but latter make revenue / spending decisions. Worth Tweeting carriage number, if it has the door stickers, as may be broken

@PapaChrisMatts @jchyip Feels more like an _answer_ (in the spirit of 5 whys) to the first question...
English

@RonJeffries @PapaChrisMatts @johncutlefish @pivotalcf @absoludicrous Perhaps necessary for those attempting who also lack experience? Analogous to the decision to TDD (or not) by experienced devs.

@AzureSupport Thanks for responding. The forum link didn’t help but we eventually found the VM (it may have been related to a migration from PAYG to CSP). Thanks for your help.
English

@skirk Understood, thanks for confirming this. We have found this forum here: aka.ms/f_CGHRCaUo that may help. Could you review it and let us know if it does? ^AB
English

@AzureSupport Hi there! I have a Windows VM we created for testing. I am connected to that VM via RDP *right now*, but it cannot be found in the Azure portal! Any ideas?
English

@AzureSupport Thanks for responding. I’ve tried on both different browsers and private sessions, and sadly it still doesn’t show up.
English

@skirk Hi there, sorry to hear this. Just to make sure this is not related to an odd caching issue, could you access the portal from a different browser and/or in a private session to see if the VM shows there? ^AB

@joshuajames @PapaChrisMatts This was the twitter thread I’ve been waiting to read ever since @PapaChrisMatts wrote his blog… hoping he responds as I’m very interested in where this goes! (And I don’t mean a fight)
English

@PapaChrisMatts As for the assertion that Cost of Delay is a “governing” rather than an “enabling” constraint, as a practitioner, I would have to disagree. Explaining myself probably requires a blog post however, and it’s 2.30am here!
English

@EE Hello there. Please can you let me know what’s happened to the 4G data signal on the cell in the East Croydon area? Several days in a row now, almost all data packets dropped, basically zero connectivity!
