@BenShindel @rSanti97 The heart does generate a magnetic field but it's absurdly weak. In order to measure it you have to do a ton of shielding to remove background noise. I happened to be reading about this recently so I'm also extraordinarily skeptical

@rSanti97 I have some serious doubts about these claims: that "quantum magnetometry"-enabled sensors can detect a heartbeat from 40 miles away? I uhh... don't really think the CIA is being forthcoming with their details on how this rescue went down, tbh.

@RonoAnalyst Like I know Schaef is all they have, but surely playing him against top comp isn't the best strategy?

@kalomaze On a positive note, there is opportunity for a new fake insider account to blow up on this site hyping up everything about mythos. Someone gotta get on that

Some obvious negative applications with this research from META but this also gets us one step closer to maximizing the potential of humans.

@BishopBarron There is the one shot early on where he just straight up looks like Jesus, felt like it wasn't just an accident to me.

I just saw the much talked about film “Project Hail Mary.” It's very entertaining and uplifting and features a fine performance from Ryan Gosling. But what most intrigued me were the powerful Christian themes at play in it. The title, of course, refers to the Hail Mary pass in football, since the adventure undertaken is a fairly desperate attempt to save the planet. But it also becomes eminently clear that the reference is not just to football but to the Blessed Mother herself, for the Gosling character is undoubtedly a Christ-figure. I don't want to give away too much of the plot, but it involves a willingness to sacrifice one's life utterly in order to deliver the entire human race from disaster. It is, of course, no accident that Gosling's character is called Ryland Grace, for throughout the movie, his presence and actions constitute undeserved favor to others. A particularly intriguing character in the film is a sober German scientist who relentlessly presses Grace to make the supreme sacrifice, even when he is unwilling. She represented for me the great moral demand that presses upon us throughout our lives, continually summoning us to self-gift. A last observation: Jesus had a second in command whom he called Peter (the Rock); Ryland Grace has a very unusual sidekick whom he calls “Rocky.” I'll leave it at that. I know lots of people say that Christianity is in irreversible decline and that we are inhabiting, at least in the West, a post-Christian society. I'm not so sure. Like it or not, we remain a Christ-haunted culture—and a film like “Project Hail Mary” makes this clear.

Actually tired of dealing with crappy controllers. Controllers cost too much, they're breaking, and there's no effort to make them better or durable. How is a kid who's trying to go pro in RL able to spend 100s of dollars to replace a controller with drift. We need options.

@IslesDen Not just going off stats he gets so much consistent value on offense. One thing that stands out to me is how consistently his shots/passes make it through players. I especially noticed it because Schaefer has lacked a bit in this regard.

Most underrated production on this #Isles team all season long from Tony DeAngelo. 51 points in his first 103 games on Long Island, and has the second most assists on the team this season. One of the league leaders in stretch passes as well and the tape is 🔥🔥🔥

I've been rank 1 in Fortnite (leaderboard and online earnings for a few months) and top 10 in Rocket League (solos leaderboard in 2015/2016), so I've played both at a high level. Rocket League mechanics are just way easier to grind. You can sit there for a few hours a day for a week and learn the mechanics you've been practicing. The skill expression is there, but the ceiling was hit a long time ago. If you compare 2018 vs 2026 clips, Fortnite looks completely different, RL looks mostly the same. That alone should tell you which game actually has the higher ceiling. Saying RL is harder to go pro is misleading too. It's only "harder" because it's a closed league. Any game with a league is gonna be harder to get into because of gatekeeping and nepotism, not because the game itself is harder. "Harder to start" also makes no sense. You can understand Rocket League in like 30 seconds. If we're talking mechanics, nobody is learning Fortnite mechanics faster than RL mechanics lol. Ranked doesn't even matter in this comparison. Yeah RL ranked is harder, but Fortnite ranked has basically never meant anything competitively. The actual competition is the open tournament circuit, which is way more competitive just off player count alone and no gatekeeping. And the camping/lucky kills thing is just wrong. You can't do that in actual comp because of surge. They're just completely different systems: RL = closed league, gatekept FN = open circuit, massive player base, constantly evolving If we're talking actual difficulty/ceiling, Fortnite is just harder. RL is only "harder" in the sense that it's harder to get into the pro scene.

Rocket league is harder to go pro. Rocket league is harder to start. Rocket league is harder overall. No bias. I’m the highest rank in both games. Anyone can earn camping & getting a few lucky kills spraying endgame. Unreal Rank - 5% of players SSL Rank - 0.03% of players Fortnite: - Cash cups - Victory cups - Divisional cups - Console cups - FNCS Rocket league: RLCS.

While there is an option to turn off the flip reset indicator in the settings, I do wish there was a way to choose between visual and audio indicators as well instead of all or nothing

I've spent the past 20 days pushing as hard as possible to improve at the game (VOD Reviewing every 2-3 days, Only queuing when I feel good, capping each day at 2 losses, consistent aim training 5-6 days a week) and somehow this is one of my worse acts to date. What do I do?

@satorupaw @Brownie_v2_ @kermykai Technically you don't get money for dying, you just get less money (1k no matter what) if you lose the round and survive. You die to spike to avoid this punishment while also denying the other team the ult orbs from killing you.
