@Velvet_Coalmine @SisterBeech The one and only thing that stopped men from ever having premarital sex is Christianity. In nearly every other culture around the world, virgin men are seen as impotent and weak. Since we're not talking about Christianity, we have to talk about the secularist mentality.

@SisterBeech I don't. I think that's pretty awesome actually, I love my horny dogs. Obviously the bottom quartile of them are monsters who should be shot, but as long as they're not out here raping or abusing people horny doggery is great.

Do you dumbasses forget this bridge is part of an INTERSTATE HIGHWAY
Loong Faht Dhong@LoongFahtDhong

@Os_poems Ah yes because the tax payers in Florida deserve to pay for your fucking bridge. Maybe that should be handled at a state level and get absolutely minimal funding from the federal government!

Am I missing something? Palm Beach has been represented by a Democrat in Congress for 13 years. Joe Biden won PB County by 16 points. Harris won it by 5. I'm really confused by the over-extrapolating from a state house seat in a blue county with a D +6 voter registration advantage.
Dan Merica@merica

Safe to say Dems are buoyant: “Mar-a-Lago just flipped red to blue, which should have Republicans sweating the midterms,” said Heather Williams, president of the @DLCC. “If Mar-a-Lago is vulnerable, imagine what’s possible this November.” More here: washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/…

What a mess. The district court wrote a piece of fan fiction in favor of the plaintiffs. It was a performance piece -- issued on the Fourth of July, when courts are closed. It was riddled with errors -- even fabricated quotes. Schmitt lost at the Supreme Court, which gave us, in this footnote, the single sentence that should mark this case forever. But Schmitt got to go back to his friendly judge for discovery, and the federal government became his friend too, and so he procured a sweetheart settlement. Even that doesn't do nearly as much as he claims. The crowing here is so shameful. "We won," cries a cynical, dishonest loser.

We just won Missouri v. Biden. As Missouri’s Attorney General, I sued the Biden regime for brazenly colluding with Big Tech to silence Missouri families — censoring the truth about COVID, the Hunter Biden laptop, the open border, and the 2020 election. They tried to turn Facebook, X, YouTube, and the rest into their private speech police, labeling dissent “misinformation” while they pushed their narrative on the American people. Today, after years of unrelenting litigation, we deep state into a historic 10-year, court-enforceable Consent Decree. It directly binds the Surgeon General, the CDC, and CISA: no more threats of legal, regulatory, or economic punishment. No more coercion. No more unilateral direction or veto of platform decisions to remove, suppress, deplatform, or algorithmically bury protected speech. Missouri struck first—and Missouri won big. This is the first real, operational restraint on the federal censorship machine. It locks in the First Amendment principle we fought for: modern technology doesn’t erase your rights, and government labels don’t strip speech of protection. The deep state just got checked. For every working Missouri family tired of being silenced by their own government: this victory is yours. The heartland fought back, and the heartland delivered.

If your "standard version of progressive anti-Zionism" includes saying things like "Hitler didn't pick on the Jews for no reason," you have a very serious Nazi issue in your "progressive anti-Zionism."
PoIiMath@politicalmath

Dahl's anti-Semitism seems to be a pretty standard version of progressive anti-Zionism. I'm not sure why he has become a cancellation target of the left for basically agreeing with them Maybe b/c he was a white guy? Hard to say.

@smartelek @agraybee He’s politically progressive; a person’s political leanings are an expression of their moral foundation, obviously. That doesn’t mean it’s necessarily going to be expressed in the writing, I’m just speculating by taking this persons history into account.

This LOTR sequel sounds atrocious but Stephen Colbert speaks Elvish and getting him to write it is one notch below getting a credentialed Tolkien scholar to do it.

@Fauxtaku @MeirKadmon @agraybee Whether or not you agree on the abortion issue, the Church has been consistent on abortion for ~2000 years. Some of the earliest Christian writing, ever, prohibits performing abortions. If you help someone get an abortion as a Catholic, you are excommunicated latae sententiae.

@agraybee It’s possible to be a practicing Catholic and still misunderstand Tolkien’s ethics, since Catholic thought isn’t monolithic. For example, the current pope leans strongly pacifist, which may differ from earlier Christian thinkers on just war theory.

a film abt a “good nazi” who ultimately gets buried in “israel” being the most popular holocaust film is rlly the epitome of what zionists conception of the holocaust has always been and the narrative they have tried to spread
indi.ca@indica

In hindsight, Schindler's List was incredibly effective PRO-genocide propaganda. It let White people feel like the good guys (there were good Nazis too!) and ended in occupied Palestine (as if their genocide was the natural conclusion).
