UNSW Receives LoI to Establish Campus in India A key highlight of today's 3rd Australia-India Education and Skills Council (AIESC) meeting was the handing over of the Letter of Intent (LoI) to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) - ranked 20th globally - to establish its campus in India under UGC’s Foreign HEI regulations. Institutions under the Ministry continue to strengthen the campaign through innovative and sustainable initiatives: 🔹 Waste to Art initiative by IGNOU: Refurbishing an old Ambassador car and creating a horse statue from obsolete metal waste — symbolizing creative reuse and sustainability. 🔹 IIM Shillong: Promoting environmental responsibility through a paper shredding and recycling initiative that enhances the circular economy and optimizes office spaces. 🔹 Srinath University, Jamshedpur: Conducted a cleanliness drive at the Domuhani River Bank, ensuring a cleaner environment post idol immersion and spreading awareness on sustainable waste management. 🔹 Manipur University: Cleared and recycled 32 extra-large garbage bags, effectively utilizing space freed during the campaign. 🔹 MANIT, Bhopal: Transformed an overgrown garden area into a well-maintained green space, showcasing before-and-after impact.
