Yesterday the road was blocked for 10mins with traffic unable to move. North Lincs council ignore residents pleas for help. This should not be happening. Dangerous road conditions.

@adamtranter This is why mine can’t play outside thanks to North Lincolnshire council bullying residents and allowing this to continue. Our kids aren’t allowed out on our lane anymore.

@annarileynews everyone at the meeting cheered when it was said the council was corrupt. All stood united when it came to the point south end HGV traffic was unsafe.

Apparently @HumberRoads @Humberbeat_NL have declared it Safe. @HumbersidePCC I would be interested to know if your opinion has changed on this.

Rural roads: the discourse on road death tends to ignore rural roads. This is despite the fact 60% of people killed in road crashes happen on rural roads, and people killed on rural roads are over represented when compared to the proportion of all traffic (44%). Making changes is politically tricky, which is why @LeedsCC_News @ConnectingLeeds @JamesLewisLab @hanbithell decision to reduce rural road speed limits, focused on saving lives, has to be welcomed. In 2009, @UKLabour produced a plan to make “Britain’s roads the safest in the world.” It did not happen and many thousands of people have been killed or seriously injured on our roads, and needing the services of our #NHS In 2024, our new Transport Secretary @LouHaigh (congratulations 👍🏻) has the opportunity to do the same thing, and stopping road death would be a legacy worthy of Barbara Castle.
