@ForTullos @Russgh2 @AnarchoPaul @9mmballpoint this is a section of a wikipedia article that is about the war planning for a contingency operation in case the japanese didn't surrender -- which they were, again, on the verge of doing. none of this supports your claim, nor invalidates the counter-claims

@Russgh2 @AnarchoPaul @9mmballpoint And many of the commanders who actually fought in the Pacific theater felt an invasion would have been inevitable. There's a reason this is a contentious topic.

Jared Diamond’s map of Africa’s “races.”
Diamond uncritically reproduces antiquated theories of colonial scientific racism, despite acknowledging the limitations of this highly unscientific division of Africa into arbitrary races.

Dumbass conservatives thinking "liberal arts" means "leftist gay art school" will never stop being funny.
Plenty of people go to liberal arts universities to learn economics and become evil Republicans too!

My Conservative child chose a small, private, Christian based university. My daughter chose a liberal arts university. No explanation needed here…I guess, as to why my children are so different. They grew up in the same household…both saw our struggles and triumphs.

@fakehistoryhunt it's quite good! it is far more tabletop wargame than simulator wargame, but medieval combat rarely gets this kind of treatment -- especially beyond a western european facsimile of the medieval period. the breadth of history and geography it covers is quite impressive

Thomas but I really think you'd have gotten more out of this course if you had come to class having done the prerequisite reading
