@historyinmemes A good reminder to all to develop nuclear weapons. Ukraine could have been an example of non proliferation and instead, it became an example of what happens when you trust allies and the security agreements. Never again

You can have a world class knowledge base and still suck absolute dick when it comes to teaching others in a manner that is pleasant and makes sense The best clinicians, coaches, and researchers in the world have libraries in their heads that never leave the building because they never figured out how to meet people where they are Knowledge is great and necessary, but communication is the actual job, whether you like it or not Otherwise, what is the point? Are you here to flex your bloated ego around and show us how much you know, or are you here to teach, learn, and advance the message? The uncomfortable truth is that God and Nature’s complexity is always going to go above our heads, no matter how much of an autistic intellectual you are Real teaching requires you to understand something so deeply that you can strip it down to its bones and hand it to someone with zero context and have them walk away actually getting it That is a completely separate skill from knowing things. And most people who know a lot of things have never once developed it because nobody ever asked them to Their audience was always other people who already knew the same things The gap between knowledge and communication is where most of human potential dies quietly

@RyanGaroogian @ssanarium yeah. We have thought about it but don't want to add confusion. We feel like the two different options are pretty clear/differentiated and make it easy to choose one or the other depending upon your needs.

We've sent 43,734 bills to the Crowd for funding to date. I've personally and manually sent all but 5 of them to the Crowd (the 5 happened while I was on vacation). I see them all. I know how the Crowd is doing at all times. Many, probably most, people think this is a complete waste of a CEO's time. I disagree. Helping the Crowd pay your medical bills is the most important thing we do here and focusing on the most important thing is exactly what a CEO should be doing. - Andy

I listened to @JeremyDBoreing's last podcast episode on personal agency last night. A lot of folks are saying if you're a Christian you need to listen, it will resonate. I'm not a Christian and I couldn't have loved it more. Highly recommend. It motivated me in a moment when I needed it. We all need a little spark from outside sometimes. I've always gotten back up when I get knocked down. Since I was a kid. Hadn't thought of it in the terms he used, but his framing is so necessary in the world right now -- we each need to claim our own agency. We made this video from @xx_xyathletics about my personal story on this very topic. We made it a few weeks ago, but I'm struck by how it fit the themes he discussed. Get back up. Keep going. Do the thing. Do not be daunted. Yeah it sucks sometimes. Yeah sometimes it's done to you, sometimes it happens and it's no one's fault. Sometimes it is your own fault! So what. Keep going. Those who get back up are more successful, happier, more fulfilled, have deeper richer relationships that are sustaining and long lasting. Maintain optimism. Believe that change is possible. What other choice do we have? Give up? Not me. No way. Here's to the builders. And thank you Jeremy for the show. It inspired me.

Caitlin Jensen, 28, walked into a Georgia chiropractor in June 2022. She came out with four dissected arteries, a stroke, cardiac arrest, and a traumatic brain injury. It took her nine months to say "Mom" again. She had come in for lower back pain. Your brain runs on four arteries. Two carotids in front, two vertebrals in back. The vertebrals don't run free. They thread up through narrow bone tunnels inside each cervical vertebra, C6 to C1, then loop around the top vertebra in a tight horizontal curve called the V3 segment. When a chiropractor performs a high-velocity rotational thrust on the upper neck, V3 gets stretched and snapped against bone. The inner artery wall tears. Blood seeps between the layers. A flap forms. Flow blocks, or clots break off and travel to the brainstem. In Caitlin's case all four vessels tore. Paramedics worked 12 minutes restoring her pulse. Surgeons placed a stent in one artery and repaired what they could in the rest. The brain injury came from the bleed that followed the stroke that followed the dissection. One in 20,000 spinal manipulations triggers this. Arterial dissection causes 2% of strokes overall but 8 to 25% of strokes in patients under 45. In 55% of cases symptoms start within 12 hours of the adjustment. No screening test identifies who's at risk beforehand. The American Chiropractic Association's own spokesman told the New York Times patients should get vascular scans before neck manipulation. Almost none do. Informed consent matching a surgical risk disclosure isn't standard. The average victim is 40. Caitlin's back pain lived four vertebrae below the artery the thrust tore.

⏳ The Stolen Years: Why Russia Starts WWII in 1941 Russians do not count the start of World War II from 1939, but from 1941. They do this specifically to erase two years of their own bloody crimes from history. In Lviv alone, even before the Nazi invasion, they murdered 50,000 Ukrainians in concentration camps. Just before the Nazi advance, the Russians executed all remaining prisoners in these camps to leave no witnesses of their atrocities.

The anatomy of Russian genocide was forged centuries ago. A friend of mine serving in the Ukrainian army, deeply into history, recently told me a story I had never heard. He told me about Ubykhs who we erased by Russians centuries ago.

24 minutes into this and it’s 20 minutes of @coffeebreak_YT talking over @PunterJeff allowing him 5 words each time and then complete denial over every answer to every baseless criticism he puts forth. Extremely cringe by an emotional host hell bent on pushing a narrative Once again, the debates are “I feel like and it feels like” instead of basing the opinions around real security law, fundamental mechanics of capital management, balance sheets, and mathematics to back up the “feel like” opinions It’s hard to take anyone seriously when they spend 10 minutes crying over what Credit means and terminology used instead of the financial merits of the company and its operations Also, preferred equity is 100% a product and anyone disagreeing with that is a midwit The inability to recognize the parallels between a Bitcoin Treasury Company issuing preferred equity and an insurance company collecting premiums for a financial contract means the education and understanding is blinded by emotions and lacking the humility to accept you’re wrong Kudos to Jeff for showing patience with someone grasping at straws and continuously melting down with little tirades when every jab is debunked succinctly x.com/PunterJeff/sta…

Socialism applied to aesthetics: “It’s immoral and unfair that attractive people dominate modeling. To create equality, we should disfigure them so everyone has the same chance.” That sounds monstrous because it is. Yet the same logic gets applauded when applied to wealth: punish, cripple, or seize from those producing more so outcomes look more equal. Envy doesn’t become moral because it’s political.
