The only thing that will fix the dating market is a full blown societal collapse. Something has to happen that forces men and women back into their traditional gender roles while also wiping out the systems that inverted them. Only in a decadent society can such a large imbalance between men and women exist in the first place. Women sit at the apex of power in several major industries and are the predominant influencers of society. They also contribute the least but receive the greatest rewards when it comes to jobs, relationships, and socioeconomic status. Conversely, young men have been completely disenfranchised and ostracized to the point where most have simply given up. Without economic mobility or the ability to start a family, they have little reason to care about the future because they have no stake in it. A world where young men are this powerless essentially defies nature. However, nature has a way of balancing itself over time. Men will eventually reclaim power once the civilizational cycle resets. But once that occurs, relationships can no longer be built on idealized love, given what men now know about female nature. It’s unfortunate, since this idealized love is often what motivates men in the first place. The only solution going forward is for both genders to need each other once again, since romance is no longer a strong enough bonding agent. How that need comes about won’t be pretty. It essentially means going back to a time when both men and women understood that they needed each other to survive. The transition from a society that was once thriving to one that is merely surviving will be hard, but necessary if we are to fix our issues.
