one of the interesting parts of product design to me is when you do something new and custom to achieve your needs and it feels really wrong while you're doing it. but then you look at other apps you use daily and they're all doing random crazy stuff for their own needs and it works and you don't ever think about it for example, how slack put all this stuff into the app header. Not saying it’s elegant or couldn’t use more constraints, but it works, I use it all the time and never once clocked myself thinking it should have been something else So the lesson is, don’t dismiss your ideas or potential routes too early
