I use AI an enormous amount to help me shop. But im not that sure ive bought anything different as a result Or if i have , it’s because the brand did the same stuff that mattered before. Quality products , clear proposition , good website , good reviews. Etc

In 2020, we had filters, checkboxes, and sliders. Such a simple time. Now everything is AI-native. I have to write a 200-word essay to a B2B analytics tool begging it to show me companies that do under 50m a year in revenue. You open any app and it welcomes you with a prompt box, asking you "what you're hoping to discover today". I was really hoping to discover a simple filter to get better results.

@yeramianm When I was younger, I always told my dad, "Don't worry about it." And he always used to say that this answer gets him worried the most. 😂

My dev team who were at DotDev says that when the topic of Mantle shutting down came up and what's going to happen next, Shopify just said 'don't worry about it'. Did anyone else get that message? So vague. Why can't we just get straight answers on where this is going?

@DsMatie @subscriptiondoc Shopify Payments is basically Stripe underneath, so they have infrastructure and opportunity to build the most streamlined subscriptions app out there, but let's see if they will live up to the hype.

Stripe has entered the Shopify subscription app wars. No one is worried I'm sure, but this is an interesting development.

Have seriously been so overwhelmed with the kindness and positivity after #BrightworkVol01 I’m super excited to see all the pictures and everything. We will be making those available once they have them as well as making the talks accessible online as well. DotDev was huge this year and the people amazing as always. Going to do a recap later but first enjoying the weekend with the family in Toronto. Safe travels home all!

If, as an app founder, you're still telling merchants "we have a great product," you are already losing. Merchants don't care about your product.
