@LEgulu It is also possible that you could have started school when you were 15 years....a phenomenon not uncommon those days ....... either way, regardless of age , you have served our nation with honor. And eternal repose to the spirit of Gen. Ali.
English

@stuart_oramire How about if we met when I was studying in senior one but working?

First met Gen. Moses Ali in 1999 in Agiers at the African Conference of Ministers of Trade. As a Ugandan then working for an international orgn outside Uganda, he took me on like a Ugandan delegate, and poured his decades-long cups of wisdom. His memory...the guy was good. RIP!

General Moses Ali gave Uganda everything. His youth, his strength, and in the end, whatever was left of him. He rose as a young soldier, strong and full of life, and served until his body simply couldn’t carry the uniform anymore. He didn’t retire when his strength failed. He stayed on. That’s what true service to the fatherland looks like. Rest now, General. The watch is over.

@jeff_jeff77 @rwomchechen Very disturbing indeed, a Minister only creates an enabling environment ( through policy etc) in which service delivery becomes seamless. This is what the new Honorables should be detecting their efforts.... not causing excitement through knee-jerk populist acts
English

@rwomchechen I agree 100% @rwomchechen. This is the best post I have seen.
Many people haven’t even taken time to understand the administrative structures of their offices or their core job descriptions, yet they are busy chasing excitements on social media.
Let’s go back to the basics first.

I started my practice from the Supreme Court. My first appearance there and we succeeded. It gave me the impetus to push forward. That is what has driven me ever since."

🚨🇵🇹 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚:
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly promised every Portugal teammate a luxury Rolls-Royce Phantom worth up to $580,000 as extra motivation to bring the World Cup trophy home.
However, sources claim the proposal did not go down well with everyone in the squad.
João Neves and Bruno Fernandes are allegedly among the players who said that a World Cup trophy should be worth more than a single Rolls-Royce, leading to heated exchanges inside the dressing room.
One source even claimed Ronaldo was left frustrated by the reaction, believing he was trying to motivate the squad, while some players felt the offer was “not ambitious enough” given the magnitude of winning the World Cup.
The incident is now being linked by fans to moments on the pitch where Ronaldo appeared visibly frustrated with teammates, while others have questioned whether the disagreement has created a divide inside the Portugal camp.
Portugal insiders insist the squad remains united, but the story is already causing major debate among supporters.

@andrewchris33 @DaudiKabanda Andrew. Very well said. Dr. Muganga may feel slighted but l am also labouring to establish why an amiable and very friendly man like @Thomas_Tayebwa would turn antagonist against an equally amiable Dr. Muganga. Can a loyal TT even oppose a Museveni nominee?
English

Dr. and Senior Comrade, aren't you going a bit too far? Why not wait for the final report before making definitive arguments and conclusions?
Hon. Thomas Tayebwa is a highly respected leader, and I hope this matter does not end up affecting your reputation and the legacy you have worked hard to build over the years.
I have great respect for you, Dr., but I believe it is only fair that we allow the process to run its course and wait for the final report before drawing conclusions. Let us wait and see.
English

Mr. Muganga Lawrence was not rejected by the committee for being a Munyarwanda, a narrative i see some people so deceptively selling. We have other leaders who are banyarwanda who were approved & have been approved in the past. Hon . Aisha Ssekindi and Dianah Mutasingwa were approved yet they are Banyarwanda but Ugandan citizens.
Muganga was not approved after he denied holding a Rwandan passport, but the Committee investigations confirmed he holds 3 passports: Ugandan, Canadian and Rwandan. Why was he denying it? Therefore, the claim that he was rejected because of being a munyarwanda is totally false, misleading & dangerous.

Only a few ministries, may be as important as the often neglected @MoGLSD in so far as baseline protection and empowerment of different demographic groups of our population is concerned. Gladly,Gen. Tumukunde has the political pedigree and wherewithal to revamp that ministry

@mkainerugaba For all mayhem you cause on X, on this one l unequivocally salute you....your message is pregnant with context .
English

@Thomas_Tayebwa Happy labour day Rt. Hon...the jobless millionaires are complaining that your message excludes them😀😀
English

@mkainerugaba @RealCandaceO True. She is not just intelligent but also extremely bold and compelling in her standpoints.
English

This woman @RealCandaceO is one of the most intelligent human beings in America. I invite her to visit Uganda.

@Thomas_Tayebwa @Mwesigwa_Frank1 @Makerere Thanks Rt. Hon for maintaining your old "social network". Afande Frank , just like yourself, is one of those few senior public officials blessed with the grace to remain grounded and relatable . It's a rare trait these days.
English

I joined AIGP @Mwesigwa_Frank1 for the baptism of his children, the opening of St. Mark Rwoburundo Church of Uganda in Kinoni Sub-County, Kiruhura District and a thanksgiving ceremony.
I met Afande Frank in 2001 when i joined @Makerere and he became my roommate at Interline Hostel on Kubili near Mulago roundabout. We did the same course at Makerere University and later on we joined ESAMI where we pursued and graduated with MBA. Today was a nostalagic reminder of how far the Lord has brought us.
Coming from a rural background, without friends or relatives in the city, he was among the first friends I made when i joined Makerere. He taught me survival skills and helped me settle into city life.
Despite his demanding schedule in service to the country, Frank has always made time to seek God, build a family founded on Christian values, and give thanks for the many blessings he has received. I commend him for placing God at the centre of his life and remain grateful for his friendship and example.

English

@AmamaMbabazi @Thomas_Tayebwa Honorable @Thomas_Tayebwa possesses a political maturity , a rare trait in his peers and indeed this is commendable. And not even so much about the outcome but the fact that those 2 historicals could trust their own son to supritend the process. Bravo Tom
English

I warmly commend Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa for his effective leadership in fostering unity within our great Movement. I also salute Mr. Patrick Mutabwire for his statesmanship and loyalty to the NRM by rallying behind the official Flagbearer, Jacqueline Mbabazi.
My gratitude to our Party Chairman and President, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for guiding and sustaining this spirit of cohesion and discipline in the NRM.

English

I convened a reconciliation meeting this morning at Parliament between Mrs. Jacqueline Mbabazi, the NRM flag bearer for Older Persons Member of Parliament representing Western Region, and Mr. Patrick Kyamukaate Mutabwire, who was her competitor in the NRM primaries. I would like to thank Mr. Mutabwire for agreeing not to contest as an independent and for choosing to support Mrs. Jacqueline. We are stronger when united as one family under @NRMOnline .

@Moosehazime04 @ESPNRingside Stopping Cruz? Possible but hard . Roach can only outbox him if he is well conditioned.

@Clytheronix @UnitedStandMUFC How about his first years? Actually it is said the challenges he faced in those later years you allude was because of the burn out due to his intensive playing style.
English

@UnitedStandMUFC Rooney talking like he didn’t spend his last United years walking around the pitch. The truth is the club has been finished since Fergie left and legends like him couldn’t stop the decline.

@SsemujjuNganda1 You read these comments and you appreciate why Uganda is where it is . When you contextualise Semmuju's tweet, you will appreciate it..... hapless Ugandans expected 1.2 billion to be a silver bullet against a country with well developed and funded sports system. Bambi.

@isah_kalya28918 @MKatungi Omukuru Kalayango, do you actually know that access to energy is one of the core enablers of socio - economic growth and later development in any country?
English

@MKatungi That's not empowerment thats voter bribery, empowerment means creating environment which allows them to work and buy those solar packs for themselves
