@YesterdaysBrit1 I was told just over a year ago that it could take up to 6 months. Didn’t need it in the end but was warned it could take a long time and obviously depends on the complexity of the situation.

On a serious note, have any of my Britain-based followers had any dealings with the UK government probate service this year? I submitted an online application for probate in respect of my late mother's estate in April, but it's still being processed? How long is the delay?

🚨 Are parents just not teaching their kids basic manners anymore? Currently on the Tube with a youth that was blasting his phone full volume. I politely asked him to turn it down because it’s disrespectful to other passengers and the look on his face was pure confusion. He’d clearly never been told before. Seriously, what are the parents doing? My Mum or Nan would’ve given me a clip round the ear for behaving like that on public transport. To his credit, he did then turn it down. Have people just given up teaching their kids how to behave in public?

FYI, European government bond yields have fallen today, as inflation and interest rate fears have eased alongside oil prices. The UK was of course closed, but gilt yields should catch up tomorrow. Crucially, this will be due to the news from the Middle East, not UK politics...

The potential next Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, publicly opposed the Supreme Court judgement on trans people and criticised the guidance issued by the EHRC. He will be just as bad as Keir Starmer when it comes to protecting women and girls.
