Thousands of innocent people have disappeared into secret prisons without trial. Families live in pain without knowing where their loved ones are. Young people are forced into endless military conscription, robbed of their dreams and their right to live a normal life. Many risk death across deserts and seas because they feel that escape is the only way out of a life built on fear and dictatorship. The Eritrean people deserve better. They deserve freedom. They deserve democracy. They deserve a country where people can speak without fear, live without oppression, and build a future with dignity and hope. A regime that rules through fear can never last forever. Truth will always survive oppression, and the voice of the people will never be completely silenced. The struggle for justice, freedom, and democracy in Eritrea continues, and the world must stop remaining silent while an entire people suffers. For decades, innocent Eritreans have lived under oppression, endless suffering, forced silence, imprisonment without trial, disappearances, and the constant fear of a regime that sees its own people as enemies instead of citizens. An entire generation has been robbed of freedom, robbed of hope, and robbed of the right to live with dignity. Thousands have disappeared into prisons no one speaks about. Families have been torn apart. Mothers still wait for sons who never returned. Young people continue to flee their homeland, risking their lives across deserts and seas just to escape a system built on fear and control. The Eritrean people are not chess pieces to be traded for political interests, regional games, or diplomatic silence. They are human beings with dreams, families, voices, and rights that deserve to be protected. Human dignity does not belong on a bargaining table. Freedom is not a privilege. It is a basic human right. No regime lasts forever, and no oppression can silence a people forever. They did not lose their lives because they committed any crime, but because they dared to stand for justice, dignity, and the Eritrean people’s right to live in freedom without fear, oppression, or dictatorship. They stood with courage when others were forced into silence. They raised their voices for the oppressed, the imprisoned, the disappeared, and for all the innocent people who have suffered under the regime’s brutality for far too many years. They knew the risks, yet they still chose truth over fear. That is why their names will never be forgotten. A regime may imprison people. A regime may take lives. But it can never kill the truth, the hope, or the dream of a free Eritrea. The memory of these four heroes will live forever as symbols of strength, resistance, dignity, and true love for their people. We carry sorrow in our hearts, but also pride.
