Dear Senator Hawley, You have betrayed us…… We thought for sure you were going to help us drain the swamp and carry out the mandates we brought forth when electing Trump. On Memorial Day 2026, while the rest of America paused to honor the fallen who died defending our freedoms, you chose to gavel in a meaningless pro forma Senate session and then gavel it right back out. A 30 second ritual that accomplished exactly nothing except one thing: deliberately blocking President Trump from making a single recess appointment. You personally stood in the way of the American people’s mandate. We voted. We won. We gave President Trump the White House, we gave Republicans the Senate, and we sent a clear message……drain the swamp, confirm the loyalists, and move at warp speed to repair what the last four years destroyed. Instead, you and the rest of the Senate club decided the dusty old rulebook matters more than the will of the voters who handed you the majority. By keeping the Senate “technically in session” through sham pro forma meetings, you stripped the President of a constitutional tool specifically designed to bypass obstruction like this. Do you understand what that means, Senator? It means qualified America First nominees, judges, ambassadors, agency heads, and military leaders remain stuck in limbo while the same entrenched bureaucrats who sabotaged Trump the first time continue holding power. It means the deep state gets more time to resist, delay, leak, obstruct, and laugh at the voters who believed change was finally coming. It means Americans are once again being told their landslide victory was meaningless because the Senate has “traditions.” You ran on fighting the swamp. You wrote books about it. You raised your fist outside the Capitol with the rest of us. Now you’re the one holding the gavel that keeps the swamp alive. We are not disappointed, Senator Hawley. We are furious. You didn’t have to take that presiding slot. You didn’t have to participate in the ritual protecting the establishment from the very change Americans demanded. But you did. Every day those positions remain unfilled is another day the agenda Americans voted for is delayed. This is not “procedure.” This is betrayal dressed up in a suit and tie. The swamp does not drain itself. It requires leaders willing to confront a broken system instead of protecting it under the banner of “tradition.” Right now, you are choosing the institution over the people who elected you. We expected better from you. We still want to believe you are not just another suit who talks tough on Fox News and then folds the moment Senate leadership whispers “tradition.” Prove us wrong. Demand these pro forma charades end immediately. Demand recess appointments be allowed so President Trump can govern at the speed this moment requires. Stand in that chamber and publicly call out the hypocrisy. Because if you don’t, the answer to the question “What did Josh Hawley do on Memorial Day 2026?” will be simple: He helped keep the swamp alive. We’re watching. We’re angry. And we will remember. Sincerely, We the Disappointed, Disgusted, and Determined Trump Voters The American Majority You Were Elected to Serve
Josh Hawley@HawleyMO

On this Memorial Day, we remember the heroes who gave their lives for our freedom. May God bless their families

Hello Senator Thune, I'm replying to your post from yesterday: "Despite Democrats' partisan games, we're still going to get the entire federal government funded." Today, you sent the Senate home... not because of Democrats. Because of you. Here's what actually happened. On May 18, the DOJ announced an Anti-Weaponization Fund: $1.776 billion to compensate Americans harmed by Biden-era DOJ abuse. Your own caucus revolted. After a two-hour closed-door meeting, you departed for Memorial Day recess without a vote. ICE and CBP funding, punted to June 1. The "partisan games," it turns out, were yours. Your stated objections: no congressional authorization, no eligibility standards, no legal precedent, executive overreach. Fine. But let's talk about November 2025, when you tucked a provision into the government funding bill. The FBI had quietly seized phone records from eight Republican senators without notice, under an investigation codenamed "Arctic Frost." Your provision gave those senators, and only those senators, $500,000 per violation, retroactive to 2022. The House voted 426-0 to repeal it. The critics weren't opposed to compensating victims of DOJ abuse. They were opposed to senators compensating themselves while doing no other structural reforms. Lindsey Graham held the Senate hostage to preserve it. He delayed a spending deal in January 2026 to secure a floor vote on his revised version. Let's put the two columns next to each other: ➤ DOJ abused senators: $500K/violation payout, senators only, no hearings, no process, no eligibility debate, no floor vote on substance. ➤ DOJ abused Americans: "very legitimate questions," two-hour meeting, Senate goes home, reconciliation punted, June 1 deadline in jeopardy. You told Punchbowl News you "did not personally see a need for this fund." You personally saw a need for the fund when the targets were you. Go cry harder to your Punchbowl friends @JakeSherman and @AndrewDesiderio, because at this rate, they'll soon become the only people who are buying what you're selling.

Some of you may remember my extensive investigative reporting on the Paxton impeachment. During David Maxwell’s testimony, he openly bragged about his ability to throw off cross examiners and even grinned while admitting he committed perjury before the House General Investigating Committee. This wasn’t alleged. It happened. You can hear it yourself in the 2023 video I’m quoting here. Shortly afterward, Chip Roy posted in support of him. His “friend” had just admitted to playing games with cross examiners, lying, and dodging questions on the stand. But he was Chip’s friend, so Chip stood with him anyway. There are things from the past that need to be brought back up because some of you are forgetting. And in this case, it doesn’t matter whether you like Ken Paxton or not. I don’t want political leaders who defend wrongdoing simply because the person involved is their personal friend… and throw integrity out the window. Do with this information what you will. I’m just making sure you have all of it.

Texas Ranger, David Maxwell, not only admitted to committing perjury, he also said he doesn’t actually know the truth. He also admitted to playing games with people while on the stand. He said he takes long pauses and pretends to not hear the questions in order to throw the other person off their game. Watch till the end. It doesn’t disappoint.

As a recovering passive-aggresive person, I understand your frustration. For years I justified my behavior by telling myself that I wasn't doing anything wrong and the other person was the problem. They were too aggressive, demanding or just wrong. Then one day, miraculously, my eyes were opened (I'm certain someone was praying for me) and I realized that instead of accepting responsibility for my behavior (and often failures), I blamed them and doubled down. This has been a very humbling experience and I've got many apologies to make. Self deception is terrifyingly powerful.

Passive-aggressive people drive me crazy. They hide behind a fake veneer of not wanting to ever disagree on anything, and when there is conflict they nod their heads, smile, say something conciliatory and then do what they want. Contrast this with my own approach of being very open about disagreement and vocally seeking a compromise solution or at least openly agreeing to disagree. I consider my approach to be honest, fair and giving, and the passive-aggressive approach to be dishonest, unfair and selfish. The problem is that there are many cultures where passive-aggressive behavior is the norm, and I strive to never be prejudiced and to judge everyone as individuals.  Still, when I meet someone from one of those cultures my instinct is to be prejudiced and assume they are passive-aggressive, and that can be an unfair assumption. I struggle with this.

President Donald J. Trump reads 2 Chronicles 7:11-22: "Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prosperously effected. And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. And as for you, if thou wilt walk before me, as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David your father, saying, There shall not fail you as a man to be ruler in Israel. But if you turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why has the Lord done thus unto this land, and unto this house? And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them."

Is the New York Times employing a terrorist sympathizer? Last week, NYT columnist @NickKristof published an essay on Israel’s alleged "systematic sexual violence…widely practiced as part of an organized state policy" against Palestinians. At least two of Kristof’s sources for the essay appear to be Hamas-affiliated. If so, Kristof has likely committed a serious federal crime. @tal_fortgang in @realDailyWire: dailywire.com/news/is-the-ne…

The last time @chiproytx worked in the Texas Attorney General’s office, he was escorted out of the building. AG @KenPaxtonTX gave him a choice: be fired or resign. The reason was his continued insubordination to AG Paxton. Ken Paxton was recently overheard in an audio clip saying, “I’m going to vote for @mayes_middleton” and that he “could not imagine [Chip Roy] stepping into that role.” I’m casting my vote for Mayes Middleton, too.
