I’m going to finish this cycle with a Top 5 grade on Yaxel Lendeborg. I get all of the concerns about age, where do you draft player, etc. A mock draft is different from a board. And off talent, physicals, playoff viability, archetype, etc. this is one of the best players in 2026

Michigan's Yaxel Lendeborg measured 6'8.75 barefoot and 241 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'3.25 wingspan and 9'0.5 standing reach. No surprises after last year's Combine, but still outstanding dimensions for a player who slid seamlessly from the 3 to the 5 this season.

@wilkomcv Man i watched your video on Caleb Wilson.. and for my Bulls I D rather take Wagler over Wilson. I m tired of long athletic wings who cant shoot( there s too much of that in the nba). If the Bulls can slide down and get Wagler+Yaxel for Wilson at 4, and Mara at 15 i d take it .

Been giving this some thought over the last couple days, and I'm not sure the right move for the LA Clippers is to draft a guard. Should the pick be Aday Mara? Garland+Keaton Wagler seems too slight, unathletic, and three-point-reliant, though Wagler can comfortably toggle between on/off-ball and this would be a somewhat beneficial context for him since I don’t think he’ll be an NBA 1. The defense is also shoddy in the short term, though I think Wagler will be fine on d once/if his frame fills out. Garland+Kingston Flemings runs into similar issues in terms of both guys’ slight frames and then even more when it comes positional size imo. I think Flemings can play off-ball, as we saw this very season at Houston next to Milos Uzan, but I’d probably rather. Garland+Darius Acuff might be what I’d prefer in terms of pure guard play, but my concern is that the defense would be terrible, quite frankly. And also, you still have a small backcourt regardless. Yes, I know how Acuff measured, but I’ve also watched him play. Garland+Labaron Philon is actually preferable imo, though drafting Philon at 5 would take some SERIOUS conviction. Clippers did draft Shai, though. I’d have concerns about the frame and size again, however. So rather than face all of these potential problems, why not go for Mara? Potential franchise center with, imo, enough outlier traits to break out into a star. Plus, I really trust how the Clippers develop their bigs…

@tfmGIG Yaxel is 4 years older. Has less size and athleticism and put up worse stats. That's a lot to give up because he's a better, but not elite, shooter.

Note to 90% of the early debates: You don't have to compare the big 4 to each other. We won't have a choice. You only have to decide if someone after the big 4 is better than the guy who is left when you pick.

Caleb is better than 4th in this class, so yes Bulls draft him. The 2nd best thing they could do is trade Giddey for Khaman Maluach or something. Matas/Essengue/Wilson is a large investment in jumbo wings who don’t play center. Get one and let the wings run with your 6 PGs.
