Blindly bought this thinking I ll get top notch stuff caz its by TATA. The quality is so bad I cant tell you. I eat A LOT of dry fruits daily but this is one of the worst I have had in a very long time. Never buying anything TATA “blindly” again.

@pfinallyhere @echoman911 Benne did not feature on matunga restaurants but became available once benne happened in Bandra. You had ghee roast. Even now Benne is a special item on menus

@echoman911 Benne always existed in matunga and noone bothered Benne in bandra made it a selling point and I am willing to bet they come nowhere close to matunga

@anantha @b50 @preshit Exactly! This Benne Dosa rubbish just tells you how little Mumbai (outside Matunga) understands South Indian food. One has to doff one’s hat to their marketing skills though.

Mumbai had this rubbish obsession with "crisp" dosa, like they wanted papad. I'm glad the Davangere Benne Dosa (crisp on outside BUT soft and thick inside) has finally finished this stupid trend.

@dharmeshba As someone who grew up in matunga, there’s no blr benne dosa available in matunga. Most serve tamil style dosa with chutney and sambar hence the hype around benne and rameshwaram.
