Hey Folks Welcome to the Glitch or Gold? By @CaptainTorch13 TravelOne is having a glitch. Imagine swiping for a forex transaction and getting 100% points back on top of 2% base points? This might be a temporary glitch and points will be clawed back. DYOR.

5️⃣ Amex Plat Reserve CC 💰 Joining Fee: 10k + Tax 🫰 Joining Bonus: 11k + 4k pts (referal) 💰 Renewal Fees: 10k + Taxes ♻️ Waiver Criteria: 10L Spends ✨ A good looking card! 💡 Only get it for Accor Traveler Membership! ❌ Worst Amex card offering! ☹️

⛔ AVIOS x IndusInd — The Utter Issuance MESS 💳 IndusInd has completely botched the Avios rollout — eligibility is unclear, processes clash, & expectations broken 👇 ⛔ Existing co-branded cardholders (EazyDiner etc.) cannot upgrade ❌ ⛔ Existing IndusInd customers can’t apply online — auto rejections 🚫 ⛔ Offline route often leads to a split-limit second card — Avios not eligible ❌ ⛔ FD-backed option blocked 🏦🚫 Net effect? If you already hold an IndusInd card, the system seems designed to ensure you don’t get Avios 🤦♂️ Simply, @qatarairways may have picked the wrong banking partner ⚠️ Unless @MyIndusIndBank fixes this fast, this partnership risks failing — bonus or not @aviospoints 💥

I took TravelOne to have a taste of HSBC. I already have Atlas. Here is how my experience has been so far: The Good 👍🏼 ✅ With all the discounts at different places, this card becomes a different kind of beast. ✅ The welcome offers running right now are too good to miss — 5k cashback on ₹25k spend invites you to give it a try. ✅ It was not hard putting 1L expense on it to get the 3k points, as I had imagined. ✅ HSBC seems pretty aggressive. I'm 100% sure they will come up with GVs on multipliers very soon. That will turn the game in its head. ✅ The HSBC forex offer is a very sweet deal. ✅ The 15% off on OTAs can prove to be a better deal than the 5em on Atlas, in many cases. ✅ Found their customer care to be pretty polished. The Not so Good 👎🏼 🍅 Hopper fares are too high. To get that 6x or 4x, one will have to search hard for a sweet deal. 🍅 The app is pretty lack lusture. It does the job, sure, but no mazza. 🍅 Hopper is only available on mobile, through the HSBC app. Maybe ok for booking, but definitely not for planning or frequent rate comparison. 🍅 Applying for an add-on is a bit tedious. My Verdict 🏁 🌿 It is not correct to compare this card with Atlas. Atlas is an all purpose work horse, the TravelOne can really sprint at quite a lot of places. For sure T1 can hold it's own in your wallet. 🌿 Right now is a great time to get it. 🌿 I see a lot of potential in keeping this card, though time will tell exactly.
