❗ KARNATAKA STORY ❗ Sri Krishna J. Rao (21), the son of a BJP leader from Puttur, Karnataka, was reportedly in a relationship with the victim. In June 2025, the victim gave birth to a baby boy. However, Sri Krishna and his family allegedly refused to accept her or the child. In July 2025, a case was registered against him. In September 2025, a DNA test confirmed that he is the biological father of the child. Despite this, the family still refused to accept them. Even after DNA confirmation and mediation attempts, the accused has reportedly refused to marry the victim. The court’s maintenance order marks a significant step in the legal battle for the mother and child. On April 24, 2026, the Karnataka High Court ordered the accused to pay ₹75,000 as monthly maintenance to the victim. If this is the situation, where is justice? Tomorrow, can any wealthy person have an illicit relationship and simply pay monthly maintenance?
