@hrw @Craig_Foster Any civilian fatality, on either side is an absolute tragedy - but let's not pretend the laws of war exist anymore or that war crimes are actually punished. USA been chipping away at them for years and Israel recently bulldozed over the last of them in Gaza.

NEW: The Iranian government has repeatedly used inherently indiscriminate cluster munitions delivered by ballistic missiles in attacks on Israel since February 28, 2026. At least four civilians have been killed in the strikes, which violate the laws of war and may amount to war crimes. Learn more: bit.ly/4m5Znno

You are giving another $5 million to Lebanon A day after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was chased out of Lakemba Mosque after being invited by the Lebanese Muslim Association, Labor has announced another $5million for Lebanon. The generous taxpayers of Australia will be footing the bill. This latest funding brings Australia's contribution to Gaza and Lebanon to over $135 million since October 2023.

As an Australian woman I’m calling out our Prime Minister for his misogyny by supporting this “religion”. When he attended this mosque did he not look around & think, ‘hmmmm there’s not a single woman here’🤔 This ideology treats women like dirt on their shoes, not allowed in these men’s spaces, covered from head to toe, married off at 9 years old, that one disgusts me. He attended & thought nothing of the men only optics🤬

Shocking footage from this evening of a ballistic missile striking the city of Dimona in southern Israel. Home to 40,000 residents, a direct hit on a civilian neighborhood is a war crime! I’m furious that world leaders still refuse to stand up and call out Iran. When Israel defends itself, every UN body goes crazy — cheered on by hypocritical Western nations.

@Kate3015 The UN has raised grave concerns that Israel's actions in Gaza constitute a genocide. It is likely that sexual violence occurred on October the 7th - the frustration is many pro Israeli, Zionist, rightwing voices - are picking and choosing when to listen to the UN. Disingenuous

I have turned off replies to my original post and I will respond to those who claim Tame is correct here. Multiple independent bodies and investigations have stated there is credible evidence that sexual violence occurred during the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The key confirmations come from the United Nations and international investigators, not just media reports. A UN mission led by Pramila Patten examined evidence, interviewed witnesses, reviewed photos, videos, and testimony. They concluded there were “reasonable grounds to believe” sexual violence occurred, including rape and gang rape, at multiple locations during the attack. The investigation found evidence such as: - Witness accounts and testimonies from survivors and first responders - Bodies of women found naked or partially naked with signs of violence - Evidence suggesting rape at sites including the Nova music festival and nearby communities. The same UN team also reported “clear and convincing information” that some hostages experienced sexual violence while in captivity. Now before as will inevitably happen as it did to my original post there will be those to seek to dismiss terminology such as reasonable grounds and credible evidence.. Reasonable grounds to believe” is careful UN language meaning the evidence is strong and credible enough to take seriously, even if investigators cannot claim absolute proof of every detail. Using “credible evidence” means the investigators believe the claims are trustworthy and worth acting on. It’s important to remember that the UN investigators are not a court of law. They don’t issue criminal convictions, but their reports are based on credible evidence and reasonable grounds, meaning the information is trustworthy, thoroughly assessed, and strong enough to justify serious concern and further action. That is the standard used in international investigations to document atrocities when full legal proceedings aren’t yet possible. Dismissing the UN’s findings as “propaganda” ignores that investigators work from credible evidence and reasonable grounds, not speculation, and their role is to document atrocities when courts cannot yet do so. Denial does not make the facts disappear.
Kate🦋M©@Kate3015

Grace Tame claimed in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that reports of young women being raped by Hamas during the October 7 attacks on Israel were “propaganda” and had been “debunked.” That is an extraordinary claim. Multiple investigations and reports following the October 7 attacks have documented credible allegations of sexual violence committed during those events. Dismissing those reports outright as propaganda risks trivialising serious allegations of rape and sexual assault. Regardless of anyone’s political position on the broader conflict, allegations of sexual violence deserve to be treated with seriousness and care. Public figures should be particularly cautious before declaring such claims “debunked,” especially where credible reporting and ongoing investigations indicate otherwise. That standard is even more important when the claim is made by someone who publicly presents themselves as a campaigner against rape and violence toward young women. Dismissing allegations of sexual violence in this way risks undermining the very principles such advocacy is supposed to defend. She is a hypocrite.

My son-in-law, the husband of my only daughter, the father of my only grandbaby - not even a year old - is active duty Marine and I can’t believe Americans are dying for this pointless Israeli war. I fear for all their lives and my heart shatters for those we’ve lost. I voted Trump for PEACE. Look how candidates can lie to us with absolutely no consequence, line their pockets with billions, be purchased by Israeli interests and betray our country. May there be consequences for the Madmen at the helm for every life lost while running our country to the ground, plundering our resources, squandering our reputation and spilling American blood. May there be justice to those who supported genocide, Israeli terrorism and illegal wars of destruction. Peace requires justice. We must demand it all the days of our lives.

@NRLSilverback @visegrad24 Their entire city go decimated. Thier women and children were killed. Thier infrastructure is toast. What did you expect them to do? I don't support Hamas or thier actions, but logically the war in Gaza was only going to funnel the remaining populace into one place - revenge

Meet Ted and his lovely wife Liv. Both 80. Ted and Liv lived in the same rental property for 16 years. The greedy landlord kept raising the rent. Ted and Liv used their life savings to cover the rent, along with most of their pension. Then the final kick in the guts was a massive $150 per week increase. that was enough, they were homeless. They went to the department of housing, and were told to sleep in their car. This is Australia under Albanese. Meanwhile, Albo got shit faced drunk at the footy last night, with not a care in the world. i hate Albanese's Australia.
