@JohnchoVilla Just need to play Vic 20 minutes in the 2nd half. This is not the regular season, 32 min a game is not enough.

Would like to see more of the single guard lineups in 2nd half. Worked well in game 2. Having 3 of JC/DV/HB/CB on floor alongside Vic and X guard is something they can get into. Work the off ball action and empty side with Vic on ball.

@xwanyex the US wasn't founded on white supremacy, but white supremacy has definitely been a big factor for much of its history. It's fine to say we're a creedal nation that's never lived up fully to the creed, but we're getting closer! I think Obama and Rubio would both agree with that.

If Republicans want to do the creedal nation stuff, that's one thing, but liberals can't say that we're both a creedal nation and a country founded on white supremacy. You really do have to throw one of those things out.

@StolteNick @robbysoave I think some of them were worried about it but other than Adams briefly during the French crisis, none of them really tried to limit immigration in any way, mostly because the economic need for immigrants was overwhelming

This is a good example of where the "heritage American" discourse leads. In the scene this Blaze guy is quoting here as representative of his ideology, Matt Damon's WASP character is saying he's a real American and Joe Pesci's Sicilian mobster character (who has lived his entire life in America) is not. So that's that? America is for WASPS, not Italian Catholics? Does anyone really believe that? Of course not.

Seconded. There is a very real chance that she avoids a runoff entirely. She was at 39% in the AJC poll with 35% undecided. If one-in-three undecideds break her way, she would hit 50% and advance straight to the general election.
GA Democrat@GADemocrat_bckp

Can everyone in the Democratic field for Georgia Governor start going on attack against Keisha Lance Bottoms? I mean she’s literally the most vulnerable Democrat in the field yet no one has come out to attack her. 🤯

@billybinion And none of those homes are bought or rented-they’re all ‘given’ to the illegal immigrants by what I can only assume are very generous people.

Wow. There are an estimated 15 million illegal immigrants in the United States. So for this to be true, each one must own two homes. Very insightful stuff from our vice president.
TheBlaze@theblaze

Vance: "You want to lower the cost of homes for American families? Why don't you stop giving 30 million homes to illegal aliens? Why don't you seal the border and make sure those homes go to American families for a change? That's how you lower the cost of housing."

@xwanyex The ironic thing is the ancient sources all say the transitions were violent, but they don’t want to believe them til DNA evidence confirmed it

So, are archaeologists just, like, retarded, or what? I’m never going to understand this thing where educated people would rather look stupid than say something that violates their politics. It’s such a black pill. You really have to imagine of people like this that there’s nothing they wouldn’t do, no evil they wouldn’t countenance. They’ll literally just say anything. They can be made to believe anything.
Dwarkesh Patel@dwarkesh_sp

David Reich on how much ancient DNA evidence has overturned so much consensus thinking how ancient cultures spread. "It wasn't peaceful, it wasn't friendly, it wasn't nice. Some of our archaeologist co-authors were just really distressed."

@samhaselby purely from anecdote, i feel like there is a piece to be written about how how south korea in particular (amsden) is studied as the prototypical development model by everyone from eastern europe to south asia to latin america. not japan, not the UK-US, but s. korea in particular

@thejfc @DouglasLFarrar @RajMahal819 @mattyglesias Exactly. Also, what anti-trust attorney has ever given a client a black and white answer? 😂 Also, it’s clear they needed to raise prices to survive. This whole “they’d raise prices by 24% to survive, the gall!” is comical.

This is a subset of the affordability debate but I think there are a fair number of youngish Americans with $200-250k household incomes who feel like that should afford a nicer lifestyle than it actually can in top 10 metros (in part because retirees still have the good houses).
