New protections for social and council housing.
Labour is introducing:
✅New rules to stop newly built council and social homes being sold off for 35 years
✅A reformed Right to Buy, requiring tenants to live in a property for at least 10 years before being eligible
✅A Right to Buy that is retained, but restricted to long term residents with strong local ties
✅£39bn investment in social and affordable housing, including £11bn for London
