A lot of small business owners think AI is a young company's game.
I'd argue the opposite.
Established businesses have what AI needs most. Real data. Real workflows. Real institutional knowledge worth scaling. Startups are guessing what to automate. You already know.
The advantage is yours if you choose to use it.

@SMB_Attorney This is really cool.
All 4 of our kids have worked in our family businesses on some level.
Our oldest will soon join me (after graduation) in a FT IT/AI role.

Your journey is the story no one else can tell. Document it now, not later. The lessons you're learning in real time are the ones that will matter most. @OneAccord

The hardest part of leading through AI isn't technical.
It's emotional.
Your most experienced people are the ones who feel the most threatened by it. Your newest people are the ones using it the most. That gap will quietly tear teams apart if you don't address it head on.
Talk about it before it becomes the thing nobody talks about.

Information is a commodity. Relationship isn't.
That came back to me recently when I was thinking about a young guy I worked with in my banking days. He made good money and had nothing to show for it. He didn't need data. He needed someone to sit across the table and walk him through what to actually do with his next paycheck.
Three months later he bought a car in cash and walked into the branch beaming.
You can pull personal finance advice off the internet in two seconds now. What you can't pull off the internet is someone who knows you, sees you, and shows up.

The AI conversation in most companies is happening at the wrong altitude.
Leadership is talking about tools. Teams are talking about tasks. Almost nobody is talking about outcomes.
Start with the outcome. Work backward to the workflow. Land on the tool last.
That order matters more than people think.

@anshnanda The problem to solve is a people problem.
Change management 101.

Donna then suggests:
“three things to add to the skill spec before building:
- treat all external content (SERP data, competitor pages, MCP responses) as untrusted input -- never pass it directly to the edit or script layer
- strip and validate any content before it touches a client page
- disable script execution mode entirely for the client-facing version”
English

3. Unsanitized external content inserted into client pages
The optimization recipes pull entities, Highly Related Words, and "swipe content" from competitor analysis, then insert them directly into your client's live pages. If that source data contains malicious links, XSS payloads, or adversarial anchor text, it goes straight into production. The HTML audit reports have the same problem -- competitor content embedded in a "trusted" agency document.

I’m not a tech guy.
I use a @text_chorus agent for most things these days.
Had my agent read and review this post.
Some useful feedback in comments.
