Please @CMOTamilnadu @TVKVijayHQ should consider the utmost criticality of moving ahead with #Parandur airport 🙏🏽 It is literally going to be the deciding factor of the fate of the KTCC or the larger TamilNadu state's economy in the next two decades and there is no other option unless the potential growth story is accepted to be compromised 😞 Would request @TRBRajaa & other opp. political peers - that all opposition parties take this up as a united front to convince the present government about the importance of this project and stand behind it till the project moves forward to execution. This will also give confidence to the present govt. with all parties backing the decision and to not delay it further ! 🤞🏽it is do or die subject for the state ! #Chennai
Dr. T R B Rajaa@TRBRajaa

The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation’s reply to Honourable MP @PWilsonDMK in the Rajya Sabha confirms that the Government of India granted ‘In-Principle’ approval for the #Parandur Greenfield International #Airport on 07.04.2025, based on TIDCO’s proposal. This is yet another affirmation that the #DravidianModel Government under the leadership of the then Honourable Chief Minister @mkstalin meticulously secured every statutory and stage-wise approval required to make #Chennai’s long-awaited ***dual independent runway*** Greenfield International Airport a reality. 🛫 Tamil Nadu cannot afford to mortgage its future to political grandstanding. Chennai urgently needs a 5,000+ acre next generation aviation hub with two “independent parallel” 4000Mtrs+ CodeF runways (not intersecting runways like Meenambakam which curtails runway capacity with lengths of 3600+Mtrs Code4E and 2000+Mtrs Code 3C ), MRO facilities, cargo terminals, aerospace industries, logistics parks, hotels and some room for future expansion. The site was chosen after extensive technical evaluation, balancing aviation requirements, connectivity, future scalability and minimising overall social and environmental impact. The #DravidianModel Government recognised the pain and angst of the affected villages and designed one of India’s most comprehensive rehabilitation and compensation packages to ensure affected families receive the best possible support while enabling a project that will benefit generations to come. Every responsible political party must rise above short-term politics and support transformational infrastructure that will shape Tamil Nadu’s future. Every decision on critical infrastructure must ultimately be guided by science, technical expertise and the long-term interests of Tamil Nadu. It is deeply unfortunate that a project of such strategic importance now stands clouded by uncertainty, with the Government maintaining silence while media reports speculate that it has been abandoned. Our State deserves consensus, not political obstruction. #ParandurAirport #CMMKStalin #TNRising

This is a classic show of brainwashing people. Young minds with hot blood fall for the outrage and start the usual "Adani Ambani bla bla bla" drill. As per the 2008 Greenfield Airport Policy, the State Govt owns the land and infrastructure. The private operator only gets a concession period lease and shares revenue (30 Years). The State Government (or its industrial development agency like KSIIDC, CIDCO, TIDCO, or YEIDA Either Poovulagin Nanbargal has zero clue about how PPP works, or they are deliberately pretending to sleep. Instead of constantly blockading infrastructure, why don't these anti-capitalist groups start their own enterprise? Give 100% bonuses, zero environmental impact, and dirt-cheap service. Let's see them run a real business at scale without state subsidies.

Not blinking but rather we are staring point blank with red eye 👀 straight two years for the modest T1 cab pickup point to come alive at your closer to heart airport sir 🫣 why blinking pace doesn't work here ? #MAA #Chennai
Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu@RamMNK

If you blinked, here’s what India achieved in the last 60 days🇮🇳 ✅ Noida International Airport: Operational. ✅ Jodhpur’s new terminal: Operational. ✅ NaMo Airport, Daman: Operational. ✅ Bhogapuram International Airport: Ready for inauguration. ✅ Dholera Airport: First successful test landing. 85% complete. ✅ Leh Airport: 83% physical progress achieved ✅ Varanasi Airport: India’s first six-lane underpass beneath an active runway taking shape. Under PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s leadership, the speed and scale of infrastructure are only accelerating. Stay tuned for the next 60 days🇮🇳

😉After Agnikul now another IITM incubated deep tech evTol startup The Eplane company revealing their full scale electrical aircraft vehicle e200X which will go for testing further 🔥 There are so many gems from IITMRP and their actual build house at IIT discovery campus in #Chennai Similar to TITAN , @TIDCO_1965 can invest like they did with raptee , Agnikul last year on such early deep tech startups .. they can run a proper funding organization, lack of which is the reason many incubated startups shift to Bangalore including Ather in the past 😔 TIDCO needs to have separate fund allocation for this and join hands withmore vc , angel investors to also create that penetration and visibility to give confidence to the startups making their baby steps. @Keerthana4VNR @CMOTamilnadu pls consider such ground level fund allocation through TIDCO as a part of the budget

🚨 Chennai-based The ePlane Company has unveiled full-scale prototype of their electric aircraft, the e200X. This prototype (PT-01) is 8x11 metres and weighs 2.2 tonnes. It can carry 1 pilot plus 200kg of payload (2 passengers or cargo) and has an operational range of 110km.

I asked Gemini whether @CMOTamilnadu government and @chennaipolice_ have given blanket permission for venues and bars to screen at bars and venues for the global World Cup finals like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. I wasn’t surprised how regressive & conservative they are. We don’t have a capable police it seems?

Muthukrishnan Dhandapani@dmuthuk

Top Five Software Exporting States, 2025-26 Karnataka: 41% Maharashtra: 20% Telangana: 12% Tamil Nadu: 11% Haryana: 5% These five states pretty much cover the entire software exports of the country.

🍻I hope there is no back and forth on this idea due to peer political pressure ! 🤞🏽 It is individual's choice to subscribe to what makes them relax as long as there is public space decorum & no nuisance to others..! Governments till now have been unable to do this due to fear of rheotoric backlash by social moral policing boomers & political parties 🤦🏽‍♂️ Good that @CMOTamilnadu @tvkvijay goverment is looking in that direction. This could be one of the starter pack, easing on the eye for talents across the country to look at Chennai as possible work destination thereby attracting white collar investments, we need people from all places to grow ! @VigneshTvkCbe please implement this along with micro breweries & if possible complete privatization, our cities will thank you for the subsequent growth realized! 🙂

@TheVenks More needs to be done to keep the shops neat and tidy .give branding space at even govt retail so that the look and feel is enhanced .better stocking at non elite outlets as well .what is stopping is the maintenance cost not being taken up by tasmac .

We already are leaders in Manufacturing but somehow are not able to convince them when it comes to GCC, so as part of the Tamil Nadu's Industrial Policy 2027 , TN should formulate more attractive policies or incentives & insist to the investors to take a combined offer with GCC for Tier 1 city and Production facility for Tier 2/3 city. Initially it will be tough but it will snowball into multiple cases if rightly insisted with right benefits. Please consider @Keerthana4VNR @CMOTamilnadu @Guidance_TN It is very critical to note that TamilNadu has been successful on the Industrial front due to pro active working on making the suitable land avaialble via SIPCOT across the state when such industrial investment opportunity strikes. Now similar plan of action would be required by TIDCO which in fact is something they have been successfully doing quite a few times; to land pool old and newer enclaves of lands in Chennai and Coimbatore for JV with private developers to build Grade A office space supply. Only this time with a faster rate and more count of such large office space development deals.!
Virudhai Magal Keerthana@Keerthana4VNR

Constructive discussions last evening with Consuls General over dinner. We spoke about where Tamil Nadu is headed next, not just where we already lead. Semiconductors, green hydrogen, medical devices, GCCs, the sectors that will decide the next decade, not just this one. We exchanged perspectives on strengthening partnerships between Tamil Nadu and their respective countries across advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, electronics, clean energy, aerospace & defence, medical devices, and Global Capability Centres. As we shape Tamil Nadu's Industrial Policy 2027, such dialogues are invaluable. Tamil Nadu remains committed to being a reliable partner for global investors as we advance towards our vision of becoming a $1.5 trillion economy by 2036.
