Big gaming companies are actually panicking over 16 y/o becoming millionaires from simple Roblox games at home… it really feels so dystopian lol Just saw an article, and I've been seeing the news all over X lately, so here’s my take. It's crazy because i feel like roblox isn’t even just a game anymore, It’s basically a whole economy now and it’s starting to disrupt the $200B gaming industry So, the top 10 Roblox devs made around $36M on average last year, and yeah… Btw this revenue isn’t “side money” anymore. These are legit businesses, and a lot of them are run by teenagers. Studios like Voldex are literally hunting for viral Roblox games and buying them for millions of dollars. Most of these deals are literally happening in Discord DMs: no publishers, no offices… just devs turning games into life-changing money. Honestly, the barrier to entry is low, but only the top 1% actually wins… what do you think?

The Philippines has made 3 demands of Roblox ahead of the April 10th deadline, otherwise, they may face a national ban. 1. Roblox must establish a physical office in the Philippines 2. Roblox must overhaul its age verification protocols, rather than using facial recognition or self-declared birthdays, instead they are recommending the Philippine Identification System, which is a National ID System. 3. Roblox must provide authorities with "necessary information to track down digital predators and cybercriminals" Secretary of the DICT, Henry Aguda, stated that the process will uphold legal safety net and due process, requiring court orders and subpoenas.

We made 1,000,000+ Robux in less than 72 hours last month… and honestly, it’s not even something you’d expect. The game was literally made with AI, we just combined a few ideas and turned it into a modded version of an already popular game. (nothing crazy… but it worked.) "Brainrot" games have been the meta these past few months, and with AI, everything is moving way faster now. Building games is getting easier and easier. But we have to keep in mind, with these tools and ideas comes more competition. We're seeing tons of brainrot games drop every day, and players are getting split across all of them. That's why we haven’t seen a brainrot game hit 1M CCU lately. In short, the market’s getting saturated. At this pace, anyone can build… but not everyone can sell. I'm just posting my thoughts since we’re in this brainrot era of Roblox where any game can hit high CCU and devs are making crazy money.

Roblox devs making $38.5M a year is something I would’ve NEVER expected 3 years ago... People still think it’s just about “making a good game," but if you look at the current trending games right now, you’ll notice a pattern… we all know it: “brainrot games.” Steal a Brainrot earns around 50-90M Robux a day, Escape Tsunami does 30-50M, and even smaller brainrot games are making 500k-10M daily. It’s crazy because you can literally do all of this at home, just sitting on your setup. But with the rise of AI and more investors starting to notice Roblox game development, I feel like in the next 2-5 years big companies might start taking over and monopolizing the space, which could be bad for small/indie devs. We’re literally in the era where one game can change your life overnight. The real question is, are you building… or just playing?
