The reviews for Crimson Desert are turning from negative to mostly positive. The first reviewers who hated the game, quit the soonest and were first to post is probably what happened.

@PaulTassi Time gated events with only 3 fairly small maps is a travesty. This would have landed better if there were 10+ maps but I don’t think it has the player count for that. It’s an extraction shooter, who gives a shit about power creep within this genre when wipes are confirmed.

It was almost impossible for Cryo Chamber to spike the playercount meaningfully. If you have played enough to meet the requirements, especially 5K loadout a run, chances are you have already been playing a lot to this point. It's not like new people can show up to play

First time extracting successfully on Cryo Archive! Not sure if there are other methods, but we had to get security clearance lvl 3 and activate an exfil in the Panopticon It gives you ~4 minutes to leave at a random exfil. Not sure if this ends the entire match for other teams too???

It's worth noting that at this point in the game's lifecycle, Highguard only had 4,524 players left on Steam. Marathon has over 10 times that right now, and those are all players who paid to get in. It was shortsighted to hitch one's wagons on Marathon being Concord 3.
