@lavish_alt This doesn't even add anything to the lives of Nigerians. Lol The congratulations off me 😺 A lot of Yorubans have turned it into a tribal war. Lol More like, mungo park discovering the river that has already been visited by others.

Let me offer a different perspective. No one is denying the work. He has helped people, especially children and some of the most vulnerable in Nigeria. But their vulnerability is not random. It is the result of a failed system. That context matters. Yes, it was disappointing to see him accept recognition from that same system people believe he is fighting. But we all know the regime in power is very vindictive. And if getting national recognition helps further his work, it is hard to argue against that. So people like me sat on the fence on that one. It was disappointing, but we understood. That is not the main issue. The issue is what happened after. When people questioned him, many of them the same people who supported him and helped amplify his work, he had multiple options. He could have explained. He could have acknowledged the concerns and shown empathy. He could also have laid low, and let the storm blow past. Instead, he called them a MOB. That word is not neutral. It has been used repeatedly to silence and mock Nigerians and dismiss real concerns. He chose to weaponize a word that has been used falsely to label Nigerians who are simply trying to free themselves. That is why people are upset. You can choose to mind your business. You can even benefit from the system. That is your choice. But you do not get to put others down for speaking up. You do not get to silence people who are also trying to get out of the same system you claim to be helping people out of. That is where the line is crossed. Do not get me wrong, I used to be a huge supporter of Tunde. I even wanted to buy one of his chess sets, that is how much I believed in what he was doing. Even when this first happened, I stayed quiet. I sat on the fence, hoping there was something I was missing. But he kept digging deeper. No remorse. No attempt to understand why people were concerned. At that point I called him out and chopped blocking 😅. To whom much is given, much is expected.., Tunde was elevated and celebrated by young Nigerians and the first opportunity he had, he chose betrayal. We were a means to an end..

"He can't become billionaire through chess," When he gets there, you will still cry more about how the government helps him get there.

@ReginaOptom @Tunde_OD @trisnite It has not burned, is it. What is your contribution to its development before you burn it? Make useful, away from making noise and trying to tear down those who dare to make an impact.

And for the ones who continue to blab about “dining”, “frolicking “ etc. That’s a delusional narrative for honoring a president’s invite. But if we apply your “Dining” logic broadly to others, your hypocrisy becomes obvious and you will scramble to make excuses. The truth is I will continue to engage the government wherever necessary because it’s a duty of leadership. Not easy but necessary for the sake of the children and for solutions. Engagement is not endorsement. My fight is different, and your own fight is valid. But take it to the appropriate quarters and quit wasting your time here. My oga has said I should leave you people alone now, so, as you were…

@thoraf20 @Sylcci @eldivine Han!! Teenuku hijacked power, devalued the naira and made it a worthless piece of paper, so the so-called allocation "no even reach us". And oh!! He decides who to share to based on party allegiance. E.g See Osun state So you see, your senile drug lord must answer

There’s a peculiar kind of Nigerian thinking where everything must be zero sum. To compliment A, we must first show how much better it is than B. You don’t sufficiently love B, unless you simultaneously signal how terrible A is compared to it. It’s like we can only think from a lens of competition, rivalry and scarcity. It is an incredibly poor way to see the world and it is one of our biggest challenges as a people.

@thoraf20 @Sylcci @eldivine That is what we're saying na. Teenuku can tax me from Abuja, increase electricity tarrifs but I should hold council chairman and governor accountable for taxes Teenuku and his bandits collected.

@ReginaOptom @Tunde_OD @trisnite And inspite of these struggles, he picked a path, walked the path, and he has gotten tremendous results for the past 10 years. What have you done? Imagine if you dedicate yourself to another part, but no, it is easier to just point fingers.

@ScaramuciObongo @Sylcci @eldivine The muddy road that leads to your in the village has been there for more than 20 years. Your grandpa pension is yet to be paid after retirement 12 years ago. Your state government officials are becoming fat in the end, but they are not your problem.

@thoraf20 @Sylcci @eldivine Yes, our governors and senators are the GCFRs in charge of securing the nation. Our governors and senators are the ones who removed subsidy, devalued the naira, increased electricity tarrifs by 300%, took record loans.
