I fully support junior doctors striking, they work so hard, so many hours and need paying adequately for looking after US.
Consultatants cover when they strike, no need for the scare mongering.

I wouldn’t accept a referral from a medical student - so I do wonder why I’m expected to accept them from trainee ACPs. One has a supervision requirement, the other has unbridled confidence - neither has the training to do so.

@Shr_Nottingham it’s odd that you weren’t interested in learning to provide sensitive care to women, and instead would just palm it off wherever possible. I’ve worked my entire life to provide care to women in remote Oz, it’s a little offensive to imply I might be doing this because I’m a creep

In Australia, because we have a different, and I’d argue, superior model, I thought that meant it wasn’t in the scope of UK GPs to start GLP1s , not that they literally can’t due to funding - apologies

GP has <6% health budget in Northern Ireland.
Not asking for the moon: asking for fair pay for work done in GP (>90% of total workload, remember).

I am hearing of lots of random rules & hoops GPNs are setting in order for people to access GLP1 therapy for their T2D It’s making me quite angry & I think it’s also unethical & immoral Follow NICE guidance strictly if you have to, but don’t create your own arbitrary rules🤯

At my current job, there's a 'nurse consultant' whose badge says 'Consultant' , doesn't mention nursing
They also have a phD so there is 'Dr.' before their name
It took me 6 months to know they were not a medical consultant🌚

We should discuss the PARA content map, which defines what GMC will look to assess in the PARA exams that it will use for national licensing of PAs.
It advises PA course institutions on what should be covered in courses, and what a newly qualified PA should know as a baseline. 1/

That person needs a kind hand from a gentle friend to support them, or perhaps some professional help

The team is 1x consultant, 1x SpR (ST5+), 2x nurses (some centres have 3), 1x physiologist, 1x radiographer
Physiologist can assist with IABP, defib radiographer CPR, scrubs nurse can prep covered stent, nurse IV arrest drugs

In cath labs, the nurses are trained in more than just sedation, its not thier only roles. They're also trained to assist with procedures & deal with complications. An FY isn't going to add much here when it goes wrong

In September 2022 we tweeted our 1000th nurse-led sedation TAVI case. Today, we did our 2000th. We are hugely proud of our nurse-led programme which continues to go from strength to strength. Congrats to the whole team.

Their defence was that more creators knew than megalag implied, which why would they lie, and that it didn’t affect viewers, which is why they didn’t go public, and didn’t know about the other stuff

What are your thoughts on the Linus response to your video? Are you annoyed that he insulted your channel name “maybe he’s living up to his name” and then they laughed about it. Basically saying this is old news and it’s got nothing to do with them.
