30 of the 70 companies in our last @speedrun batch had founders born outside the US and if we keep doing our job – and we will – that number is only going up: * founders building products + teams internationally * builders stuck in an H-1B job ready to accelerate their slope * students here on F-1 who are ready to take a shot at their startup idea Speedrun Global Founders is our answer >> our end-to-end approach to guiding founders through visas, customs, housing, banking, and building local SF community, while enabling founders from all over the globe to participate in Speedrun we also have the coolest hat in venture - maybe thats a lame flex, but i honestly challenge you to show me better vc drip you might catch a few of our founders wearing them today. come through Global Founders and I’ll bring you one 🫡 -apply below my friends-

.@travisk's pitch for why young people should join his new startup Atoms: "I'm not out there pitching some lame-sauce dude who doesn't want to work... This is why Atoms is cool. You're not dropping an app in the App Store. You're automating a 2 million pound machine [in the Amazon] going 35mph carrying gold."

we're moving out of our 188 king st office today. some memories of this place: - when i first moved in I had one desk, an air mattress on the floor, many packs of red bull and that's it - there was no conference room so everyone took meetings on the balcony - in march the whole team caught the flu and @MrDaveAllen had to join a call from the hospital this room witnessed @EragonAI grow from 0 to a 12 people team across three continents, and time calls for a larger office to accommodate a bigger team (actively hiring more engineers) -- new office reveal soon 👀

some college drop out founders I was chatting with yesterday couldn't believe that pre covid most of the world used phone line bridges for "conference calls" and everyone would announce themselves upon joining.... crazy to think they've never been in the professional world without Zoom, LLMs, Agents, Slack, etc Turns out that whole "Future of Work" macro shift during covid was a real thing. But none of us were thinking about AI

@imjustinliao if winning is raising a seed round then this is true. if winning is actually winning, this is deeply false.

I'm excited to share that I've joined @amppublic. Our mission is to build the Independent AI Grid. Compute (and Talent) is the scarcest resource at the frontier, and right now access decides who gets to innovate. The best AI breakthroughs won't all come from a handful of giant labs. They'll come from independent teams, if those teams can actually get compute at scale. That's the problem we are solving. As a public benefit corporation, we pool compute across independent teams so they can operate at frontier scale without giving up what makes them independent. Nobody builds their own power plant to turn on the lights. Compute should work the same way. I couldn't have picked a more aligned, brilliant team to build with, and I'm fired up for what's ahead. Let's go!

For 9+ years we’ve been building simulators, data engines, data pipelines, scenario editors, RL environments, what's now world models... and dozens of other products. Now we’ve connected them all under one agentic layer. It is not just another harness but also the broader system to safely design, develop, and deploy Physical AI. I continue to believe a modern, AI-first development environment is one of the biggest bottlenecks to putting intelligence on a billion machines. Unsurprisingly, we’ve been using it internally for a while now and the impact has been profound in almost every measurable way. As you might know, our old office was on the corner of Pioneer and Dana – and calling it Pioneer would be too cliche. Introducing Dana :) applied.co/dana-blog

The world is not just made of words, and spatial intelligence was never just about perceiving and generating worlds. It's about interacting with them. Today, SceniX is joining World Labs. 🌎🤖👇

So which model is the best at frontend design? You can now eval pretty much all of them in pen(dot)dev in realtime in parallel. It's the most versatile design agent, where you can Sign in with ChatGPT, use your Claude subscription, OpenCode Go, Github CoPilot, connect Cursor Composer 2.5/Grok 4.5, Minimax M3, Kimi K2.7/K3, GLM 5.2, Gemini 3.5 Flash, Qwen 3.7 Plus etc, mix and match these models on design tasks directly in your codebase locally on your desktop.

@tmhammer FWIW the anti nuclear regime did a great job with its fear mongering and we live in a worse off world because of their success

when my kids are older they will find it impossible to believe there was such a thing as an anti-AI or anti-data center sentiment just like it’s hard for us to imagine the pushback the automobile, bicycle, electricity, and calculator saw
