We made builds on Netlify a lot faster. Over the last year we've been building our own MicroVM based compute platform. It first went into production as our sandbox infrastructure for Agent Runners. Now it's live for our build system, and the effect is dramatic.

honestly the most interesting part is that all the major AI coding tools already read markdown natively. the infrastructure was sitting there the whole time and nobody thought to just write a design system in the format AI already understands. we were exporting figma tokens into JSON into configs into plugins when the answer was a .md file lol. what's the dumbest overcomplicated solution you've used that turned out to have a dead simple alternative

I would not have thought these things get so good so fast. By that speed, we will have full Hollywood grade movies done by everyone within a few years. If YouTube won’t allow uploading them due to copyright, another platform will rise that hosts these fan made AI generated movies. Crazy. Just crazy.

It’s happening. I’d guess that ~1/3 of the ads I get on TikTok now are AI generated. And they’re working - the comments are all people asking what size to get!

The Design System era is dead. Top-down design is forever broken. Having a consistent aesthetic may have been nice in the past, but today there are too many players and too many creative possibilities to dictate a single aesthetic for the entire world. The future belongs to those who embrace the broad multitude of creative expression rather than those attempting to tame it.
