Holy crap! WDHN just east of Dothan, AL took a direct hit from the tornado that past by earlier this evening. @JordanAmbrosewx was live covering this. Crazy stuff

One year ago today, I chased a secondary target in eastern New Mexico and documented a tornado in Floyd. I did not see a single storm chaser the entire chase. This is a comprehensive thread looking at the forecast, observations, tornado evolution and reasoning behind the target.

PSA: I'd be very careful taking these weekly forecasts at face value w/ the western ridge being rooted into the Desert SW until the N American Monsoon is well established. A strong/poleward shifted rex block w/ undercutting is much more likely than a full scale, persistent ridge

TikTok has failed in their duty of care to comply with the DMCA after a content aggregator stole my work, cropped out my protection watermarks and gained over 700,000 views from a recent severe weather event that was published on my YouTube Channel exclusively. I filed a valid claim via the TikTok copyright system on the 24th April and it's now the 25th of May with NO action taken. Thousands in lost income has disappeared due to the failure of @tiktok_us to protect my work. They and other social media platforms can hide behind an outdated DMCA claims process that favours these platforms and wholesale content thieves as they earn billions in revenue each year. I am only one of hundreds of thousands of content creators around the world impacted by blatant theft of our hard work. Our copyright laws globally need to change without delay so the creators are finally supported fairly.

MAY 24TH- The “PEAK” of Storm Chasing Season, statistically the day where the most tornadoes happen in the United States. One famous Tornado Outbreak that occurred in the last 10 years was back in 2016 where a highly cyclic supercell pumped out more than 12 Tornadoes near Dodge City, #Kansas! Still to this day one of the most highly photogenic tornado machines I’ve ever chased!

We have an incredibly sad situation evolving at a Culver’s in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, this evening. It is unknown if this is weather-related, but what appears to be a box of Culver’s fries has suffered a devastating direct impact in the parking lot after recent rainfall. Fries are scattered across the wet pavement, with the ButterBurger community anxiously awaiting further updates. Our thoughts are with the cheese curds during this difficult time. @WeatherKannon @WxFront

I wasn’t expecting much out of today, but it actually turned out to be quite special. Not only was it my first time successfully photographing upward lightning, it was also my first time seeing a haboob! I got a timelapse of its formation in Hartley TX that I’ll post soon.
