A surrogate mother in Alaska is fighting to save the baby boy she is carrying after the intended parents demanded an abortion. McKenna West, a single mother, agreed to serve as a surrogate through an agency and became pregnant with a baby boy she calls Gabriel. At the 20-week anatomy scan, doctors diagnosed him with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a serious but treatable heart condition. Shortly after the diagnosis, the intended parents asked McKenna to abort the pregnancy. She scheduled out-of-state appointments but could not go through with it, saying she could not face returning home to her own children after ending the baby’s life. Her brother stepped in with support, and McKenna cancelled the abortion. She has since connected with medical teams willing to treat Gabriel after birth and has filed for custody to ensure he receives care. The intended parents have refused treatment for the child and are now suing her for not terminating the pregnancy. The commissioning couple are now also now filing for custody and to control the manner in which McKenna gives birth. Judges now hold the power to decide whether it is legally acceptable for a couple to buy a woman’s body to fulfill their own desires, threaten her with financial ruin if she does not end the human life inside her simply because he was not the product they wanted, and claim a right to dictate the woman’s birth experience and the baby’s medical care. Ban surrogacy. mustreadalaska.com/after-attempti…

@CrowMonthly Yes, there are a couple of corners where I've left the wild ones growing, they are good cover for the birds too. And I've been experimenting with thornless cultivated ones but haven't found one I really like yet.

@trashingdays Oh, the joy when they move on. I’ve felt it myself and the whole world changes. But you’ve still got some brambles for blackberry purposes 🤔

@CrowMonthly The neighbours used to attack my trees and cut off branches too, ones that were well inside my boundary. Happiest day of my life was when they moved out, about 5 years ago. Since then I've been rescuing the garden after more than a decade buried under brambles.

@trashingdays That’s a bit grim ☹️ I’m hoping that the Corvid ranks will remind them of their manners.

I don't think we can imagine the level of hate Sophie is receiving behind the scenes. Look how those 16-year-old girls were treated publicly by a co-owner of Storm. Sophie has not bowed the knee and has continued to offer her support to women and girls. Many of us bought into certain terminology in the beginning, and it took time to unlearn it. Not everyone, but many! It's easy to forget that when you’re a few years into speaking up about men in women's sports. Let's offer Sophie some grace and pray she continues to grow in courage. Protect Sophie at all costs!

@JocAPhotography Lovely. I have a bright red Monarda that I bought off the bargain shelf last year after it finished flowering. Luckily I planted it in dappled shade in the wettest corner of the garden as it has survived the summer looking happy so far.

It's the fun time of year when the hummingbird moths appear! This one is a Hummingbird Clearwing. They are moths that hover while sipping nectar, with Bee Balm being one of their favorite flowers.

Hannah Mira Cairo (b. 2007, Nassau, Bahamas) specializes in harmonic analysis & Fourier restriction theory. Homeschooled, she finished calculus by 11 via Khan Academy & self-taught advanced undergrad math by 14. After moving to California, she took UC Berkeley graduate courses. At age 17 (2025), in Ruixiang Zhang’s class, she disproved the 40-year-old Mizohata–Takeuchi conjecture; a weighted L² inequality for Fourier extension operators on smooth hypersurfaces (open since 1980s); via a fractal counterexample of unexpected wave energy concentration. Now PhD student at the University of Maryland.

@mathemetica Very talented mathematician, but he shouldn't be highlighted as a genius teen girl. He's an 18-year-old male. There have been many STEM geniuses like him in the Bay Area—the Zizian members, for example—who fall into the trans social contagion.

@P_Whittingham @TousiTVOfficial I'm not normally one to defend the BBC, who insist on referring to murderous men as "she". But I think here they were waiting for verification and went with a conservative number early on. They are currently reporting 60000.

@TousiTVOfficial The BBC begrudgingly ran with: 'Hundreds of migrants enter Ceuta'. Unfortunately for them, the only image they could find of course contained thousands.

Legacy media keeps insisting the invasion of Ceuta was driven by mostly “women and children.” Then the cameras pan across the crowd. At some point, people stop listening to the narration and start believing what they can see with their own eyes. That’s why trust in legacy media continues to collapse.

@charbar96 @TousiTVOfficial No, me neither. BBC reports: "Most of those entering Ceuta have been young men, although there are also women and children in the crowds and even babies. Officials estimate that at least 7,000 of those who crossed illegally into the territory in the last 24 hours are minors."

I see that being a “sensible” former “Tory” MP who is an “adult in the room” now involves defending a proscribed group, whose members broke a female officer’s back with a sledgehammer. Rory now aligns with Corbyn, Zack Polanski, Zarah Sultana and all the other far-left cranks.

Disabled women aren't banned. Black women aren't banned. Women from religious minorities aren't banned. It's men that are banned. Because a "woman who is trans" is a man. Only men can be, you nasty misogynistic pr*ck. F off. You're not allowed to attend anymore. Get over it.
