BrewDog founder and husbund to Georgia Toffolo James Watt launches new beer brand called “Second Best” just months after his £2billion craft empire dramatically collapsed. The 44-year-old millionaire is behind a new canned-beer venture featuring two pale ales and a lager, brewed in Germany and other European facilities before being shipped in chilled, insulated boxes. Watt says he is giving nearly 20% of the new company’s shares to former BrewDog “Equity Punk” investors to “make good” on what he feels he owes them. BrewDog went into administration in March 2026 with more than £500million in debt. The business was sold to US firm Tilray for just £33million, resulting in 38 UK bars closing and 484 job losses. Watt, who stepped down as CEO in 2024, described the collapse as “heartbreaking” but hopes the second venture can deliver returns he couldn’t give the first time around. Thoughts?

What a fantastic weekend at @arcadeclubuk for the #UKKongOff tournament. The main event on Sunday was just out of this world, crazy good. Perfectly organised and executed, couldn't have been better. Well done everyone involved.
